  • Shoot, if they had learned to play guitar and such, they could've gone on some more on top of being obscure legends already.

  • Eleanor is Chelsea Lee

  • @pembridgegardens Classy and CLASSIC.

  • I LOVE THIS GROUP. Rest in peace, Jeannette Jacobs. Eleanor can sing her ass off and Barbara too!! : ) : ) : )

  • DILLA!!

  • This song wuz written bout their manager's wife! Don't know if the Dick Clark Show is archived anywhere or American Bandstand, for that matter!

  • Does this upload go through a blown amp? The sound is one channel, here. On the CD, this song has powerful music, along with Eleanor's best vocal/attitude. She closes the song over the chatter of the Wanna-bees..."You KNOW she's better than you.". lol

  • @movingon4ever Absolutely agree.

  • @movingon4ever Damn you said it so very well!! : ) : )

  • This Is Just The Outro To That Song.... An For The Jay Elec Song Thats A J Dilla Beat.

    Gettit Straight Nigga

  • They were indeed, on the Dick Clark Shoe

  • @pembridgegardens Archived?

  • @Khultan Would it be taboo or sin of the idea of a bio?

  • I think nobody here can actually decipher the song.

  • AHHHHHH IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR EVER THANK U

  • Dilla Dilla Mix Mix Mix!

  • great song and great sampling by DILLA.

  • Awesome channel. Do you know "Baby That's Me" by the Cake. That's an awesome song. And you can watch them perform "You Can Have Him" here on YouTube.

  • Sounds like a cross between Ray Davies and Ronne Spector!!

  • @pembridgegardens Well the music producers for The Cake certainly took their cue from Mr. Spector (terrible fate) . God, I love this group to death. Rest in peace, Jeanette Jacobs from Queens, New York City.

  • Almost Nico-like. :)

  • @LittleMissLounge Yes, it was my first thought too! It sounds so similar.

  • Damn-did they appear on The Dick Clark Show at all?!? Mr. Clark wrote a very positively praiseworthy review of them.

  • Jay Electra niggaaaaaaaaa bitches & drugssss

  • Returned again to say I love this!!!

  • Oh, and I reserved their album, unfortunately it's not on vinyl, but on cd. I get it tomorrow. I like the groovy, hip, sound and their vocal harmonies and, it doesn't hurt that they're gorgeous too : ) heh heh I know now that one of them passed away quite young at the age of 30 in 1980. Damn-there's no way I would have known about them were it not for...Youtube.

  • I never heard of them but am liking them very much! And this song sounds so hip!!! I love it!!

  • Can you upload "More Of The Cake Please" Thanx

  • sampled by j-dilla.

  • @yumanti I never heard of him and I discovered this group on my own. Word.

  • @yumanti I wouldve never heard this dope piece of work if it wasnt for Dilla. Sampling keeps a shitload of artists somewhat relevant.
