  • YEP! have a Bo Peep! around Townsville Qld for a starting point? and then ya might change ya mind?? we have so very strange Natives in our Bush!

  • If they lived 20,000 years ago they were eating us, homo sapiens! Imagine being some naked hunter back then and having those teeth tear into you! :-O

  • the only reason that megalania will terrorize australia is because of cloning i mean these animals are only 40000 years old and their genomes are extremely similar to modern monitor lizards so look out for thylacines, mammoths and megalanias in another few years

  • other than that anyone that believes megalania survived must have a brain thats 10,000 years old and rotting

  • new guinea may have massive lizards but thats just because a chunk of its rainforest are unexplored and also inhabited by crocodiles which could be a food source

  • It's probably not alive.it's registered as EXTINCT on many websites, files and books

  • @MrCrazyshoe Just silly, its nothing new that its said to be extinct on lots of places, hello! It would be more correct if you said its probably still alive, there are more real things and evidence that points to their survival than their extinction. Have an open mind, dont just listen and believe whatever you here, think and do research by yourself, dont just listen to what websites, files and books says and dont think they are all reliable. Are you new at these kinds of subjects or what?

  • lol massive continent....

  • @alexbc7493 It is truly a massive continent.

  • @alexbc7493 lmao. i know right. im like aint australia a big island and a tiny continent

  • Megalania is obviously still alive, without any doubts, end of story.

  • If someting like this has survived then it’s most likely that it is in somewhere virtually unexplored and that it’s also adapted to changes in the environment. Oxygen levels have lowered drastically since the animal was in its prim, which in turn would have lead to a lowering in the rate of its metabolism. Factor in that it’s also a scavenger as well as a hunter and there's no reason why it couldn't find plenty to live on. Science is mostly about not having the answers, so it could be out there.

  • @Lamanth check out rex gilroy mysterious australia.

  • @MasterCatastrophe since i am wasting time.ill reply to YER 13 year old pimply insult.the term yer is "slang" for your.

    idiot

  • @MasterCatastrophe you know it all.really.you know everything.....now take yer meds like a good little boy....

  • Let's resurrect Megalania prisca! Upgrade a Komodo dragon embryo into Megalania: watch?v=uKbR1bcze8A

  • good video!i have recently gained intrest of becoming a criptozooligist.the study of unknown species.i am currently researching news photos and videos on magalania.if anyone has any thing that would help me on my quest please tell me.

  • @owenshark24 I´ll support you!

  • @MasterCatastrophe I am supporting my arguments, and if you really wanna know what it would feed on, which many people already has answered, then Im gonna tell you! They can feed on everything from aborigines, travelers, cattle, dogs, Kangaroos, Koalas, Dingos, Snakes, Thylacines, Wombats, Emu Birds, still surviving Moa Birds, Crocodiles, other goanna lizards etc. And if you didnt know, its possible they could go without food for a LONG amount of time! Now I think I just answered your question.

  • @MasterCatastrophe You should have realized by now that this is not your subject, leave it, youre arguments are so god damn bad! And the aboriginal people have seen it and killed it lots of times, but obviously didnt film it because they didnt have a CAMERA, and they have not explored the whole Australia, theres much left. And everything is possible, and I believe this creature is still alive which in case you didnt know (seems like it) means there are some left! "Should be on TV", haha!

  • @MasterCatastrophe And there is evidence if you didnt know it earlier, which I had supposed, but after all it seems like youre more stupid than stupid, MasterStupid!

  • @MasterCatastrophe Yes, people sometimes have a camera with when out in the wild, and often only a few videos comes out to media, the rest is unpublished or the scientists and the gouvernment covered it up, because they dont want us to know everything. And its still alive, whatever you say, better youre relizing that youre saying the same things over and over again and you doesnt get anyway with that kind of pathetic and weak argument, and STOP being so god damn fooled by the scientists, stupid!

  • @MasterCatastrophe I think youre talking about yourself. And it seems like its not enough said!

  • @MasterCatastrophe I keep arguing til we´ve come to a common conclusion, or if you stop to comment, and after everything youve said, it more sounds like YOU haven´t a clue what youre talking about! And you have not listened to what I and many other have said earlier, the animal HAS easily been spoted numerous times, not only by scientists, please pay attention! Youre indeed a proper retarded kid, and this is indeed not your best subject, get back to stupidity school were you belong!

  • @MasterCatastrophe Youre right, I believe that it´s possible that dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures are still alive! As i´ve said earlier, scientists only have their theories, when the animals themselves are sighted and rediscovered by Humans every day, and the possibilty that they still exists is gettin stronger! You must think the whole world, except the oceans, have been discovered, but thats all wrong! And animals can hide easily, Megalodon is certainly still alive! Dickhead!

  • Megalania Prisca is alive and well in the Australian and New Guinean outback!

  • I´m supporting the existence of Megalania to 100%

  • @MasterCatastrophe Are you mad or something, seems like it! However, I say it again, it´s not extinct, and you cant even spell it! And did you know, there is much more people on this planet that believes it´s most likely for the animal to exist rather than it´s gone extinct thousands of years ago, and I still don´t understand why youre trying to convince me or someone else that it´s extinct, you cant convince me, because like many other people I know the truth, and extinction is a lie! Pathetic!

  • I think one of the footprints they are showing is coming from another giant reptile in Australia... Burrunjor! The carnivorous theropod dinosaur!

  • @MasterCatastrophe Hey, as I said earlier, it have been spotted lots of times by many people thats living in Australia and traveling there. You should know better at your own age, stop living in the scientists fantasy world, and then your life will be much easier and fun, kid!

  • @MasterCatastrophe Youre clearly a stupid kid, whos saying the "creature last walked this lands 20000 years ago it´s extinct", the scientists? Yes! And they dont know it´s extinct, they just believe it is, because of their theories, and they are just simply humans like us! And that should definetely not be enough to convince people that it is extinct. I think you would come to another conclusion about the animal´s disappearence if you only could try to make fieldresearch by yourself, it´s ALIVE!

  • @MasterCatastrophe LOL, first I never called you stupid, next, this shit does exist, if you didnt knew it earlier, it has been spotted LOTS of times, are YOU stupid? Everything has not been explored, only a few parts of the world, and if you have not realized it, the animal already have been found lots of times, and bigger animals are often more hard to find, and the chance of seeing a Megalania from a helicopter is not that big! Maybe research will come out, but science wont confirm it as true!

  • I believe in Megalania and lots of other mystery animals, to me it´s very likely for the animals to still exist and roam Oceania! No one can convince me of something else.

  • @MasterCatastrophe The world have not "been filmed from top to bottom" as youre saying, it´s just how it looks and who have confirmed it, science? Science is keeping lots of information of the world as secrets, they just telling us what they want us to believe, it´s confirmed by lots of civilians and cryptozoologists that only a FEW percent of the world have been filmed and explored. So shut up if you cant come up with something true and convincing and POSITIVE to the animals existence!

  • God I miss this show D:

  • Gosh darn it as if we didn't have enough lizards in the world today, like we need news of another one..... they should be microwaveable.

  • The chances of finding Megalania still alive in Australia are about the same as finding a Mammoth in North America still roaming around.

  • @N00bcrunch3r And those chances are kind of big!

  • @TurokSwe

Really?? Do you actually believe that, Stone Age Man?!?!

  • @N00bcrunch3r Yes I do really believe that, Stone Age Man?!?!

  • @TurokSwe

Alright! Show me where the Mammoths are, buckwheat!

  • @N00bcrunch3r I would love to show you where but I can´t, I dont know where you live and I´m living to far away from where the Mammoths are living, sorry, buckwheat!

  • @TurokSwe

Okay, then, give an image--and not a blurry one, please!

  • @N00bcrunch3r A Mammoth image? That will not be easy, because I don´t have anyone myself, and as I said earlier, I´m living to far away from the Mammoths, and right now I cant afford to travel there. Sorry.

  • Stop pulling our legs for money LOL!

  • Horse shit ! Oh, cmon !!!

  • YES!! Megalania is back! Hahahahaha!! 8D

  • werz da rest of da clip

  • you never know whats out there in some forest unexplored before

  • i see a 30feet lizard in palawan its so huge

  • I doubt it exists anymore.

  • @supersmash43 Please, don´t doubt!

  • In Lost Tapes a man was killed and eaten by a Megalania (Devil Dragon).

  • Didnt this show get cancelled or something?

  • isn't there a chance that their metabolism is low to the level that it can survive weeks, months, yrs without food?..n if so that would mean they would come out at a certain time only to hunt,if they r hunters of course...but being of that case, theres a chance that most of austrailia may still need be explored, and any evidence of it may be overlooked as another creature's doing.

    but im just saying,lol

  • i seen a lizard in the same area crossing a country road about 20 years ago its length was about 20ft long it was a lace monitor lizard it was big enough to eat a human easily

  • komodo from comoddo island.. indonesia lLOL

  • There are more ways to tell if there is a population of an animal than just by finding one. Giant animals for the most part do not exist today because they would require proportionally larger amounts of food. Could the Australian wild really have enough resources to feed a population of Megalania without leaving more obvious signs of their existence? Like fecal matter, or dead carcasses?

  • yes there is more than enough food for them. live stock for instance and for them living signs most large reptiles eat every part of the carcass and foot prints have been found and strange large egg shells also the dropings they called easely be mustaken for goanas dropings

  • Yes, but what I was saying that a significant population of Megalania is needed for them to reproduce and survive as a species. And since they are so huge and therefore need large amounts of food, as a species they would have a significant effect on the populations of other species. Every species has a measurable effect on the eco-system, and it's hard to imagine the Megalania being the exception and hiding below the radar.

  • good point my werthy adversery buuuuuuuuuut there might only be 40 to 20 alive (like the bangel tiger )

just living on the edge of extinction

  • @piedevil1 We dont know exactly how many of the bengal tigers and Megalania there are, the world is gigantic, it´s possible that no species on Earth has gone extinct! And I dont believe in extinction, do not trust the scientists!

    "Life will find a way!"

  • @ferrishthefish It´s not that hard to imagine, and as Dinoman127 said, "Komodo Dragons can reproduce without mating", and Megalania and Komodo Dragons are so close related that maybe Megalania do not need to mate either to survive. And I think there is enough food out there in the wild.

    "Life will find a way!"

  • maybe there is no population, just one

  • @ferrishthefish And the answer is "YES"! And fecal matter and carcasses have been found, I even think someone shot a Megalania once, but science haven´t published it and many of the finds are hidden!

  • Have you heard of diprotodon the farting giant wombat lol.

  • They could've been prey for megalania! And did you know that komodo dragons can reproduce without mating?

  • Woodstock??? Isolated??? What a load of shit....It's between Bathust and Cowra...two large country towns...and a popular weekend destination near Wyangla dam.

  • You clearly get Animal X. By that I mean you have looked at the evidence we presented and in the light of your own knowledge come to a conclusion.

So many people don't understand that's exactly what this show is about - making your own mind up - not being told what to think.

    Cool.

We made another show called "Bone Diggers" which is about the discovery of the only intact thylacoleo skeleton found. Take a look at this clip it's the animation from the documentary,

  • megalania is my favorite recently extinct animal. the megafauna were beasts! LITERALLY! lol. but theyre all definately extinct. sure new species are discovered all the time but any population of such huge animals would have been discovered by now.

  • @Alexx13 If you have not realized it, big animals are often more hard to find than smaller! This species and lots of other do still exist! And it has been discovered, but the scientists have covered it up.

  • @TurokSwe

are you serious or stupid? "big animals are often more hard to find" and why is that?

and you must be really paranoid if you think scientists cover anything up. a scientist's goal is to discover the truth not hide it.

  • @Al3xX420 I am stupid, like every other Human on this planet, and unlike many other Humans I am serious! Yes, why? It´s a mystery we can´t solve!

And, the so called, "scientists goal", thats exactly what they want you to believe!

  • @TurokSwe

you just keep proving that your ignorant. learn what science is.

"science is more than a body of knowledge. its a way of thinking. a way of skeptically interrogating the universe."

scientists aren't just people in lab coats with an agenda. they think in particular ways to make observations of naturally occuring phenomenom. they collect data and make explanations called theories. theories themselves can be wrong as data can be interpreted wrong. but data itself doesn't lie.

  • @Al3xX420 Ignorant? That sounds more like, YOU. I already know.

Nothing new. And its true data itself doesnt lie, but the people who works with it can lie.

  • You're an idiot

  • @iloveyouihateyou321 yeah.. you are right our world is very huge... we really dont know what lurks in the places not yet really discovered... or places people dont go..

  • wow i wish i see one (and live)

  • that may be harder than you think...

  • omg. these Komodo Dragons are very much still alive ppl. they are nowhere near extinction yet.

  • I think what people might be seeing is a Komodo Dragon. Yes I know their not native to australia, but there could be two ways how they would get here.

    1. They became an invasive species

    and

    2. A few Komodo Dragons might of escaped from a Zoo or something.

  • komodo dragons happily eat humans.i dont think if a few escaped a zoo it would go un noticed

  • @Dinospikester It could not have been a Komodo Dragon, the size doesnt match all the stories and sightings, it could most possibly be the Megalania or something unknown.

  • anything is possible. earth is . huge.

  • they say many speciese die a day in the amazon forest but many new species come a day 2 in there

  • Well there are a few more vids about this creature here on Youtube and Google if you search using their name. It won't let me post a link so sorry, I can't post a direct link for you.

  • I agree, this species is long gone. Makes for interesting tv shows, but the chances it's survived undetected is zero. Pity.

  • @pilatunes It didnt survive "undetected", it have been spotted lots of times ever since it was supposed to have gone extinct!

  • these are just promo or segments...where are the full episodes ???

  • coool

  • sexy

  • I don't think the Megalania is still alive today. Here are a few reasons why most likely.

    1. Someone or somebody would of found a dead body or a living one by now.

    2. It's a huge creature. It would be very difficult for something for its size to hide well.

    3. It might of not went extinct. There is evolution. It could of evolved into a much smaller species like ones that are around today.

    &

    4. Everywhere in australia was visited and discovered and still no proof of it still alive

  • I kind of have to agree with KingBlue. Even if people think the Megalania is still out there, it just can't be possible. Any species of animal can die out without a primary food source. Unless there are other creatures there where everyone thinks the Megalania still exists that is enough to feed a full grown Megalania, it's just not possible one of these things could still be alive. Now, unlike the Megalania though, the Megaladon could still exist. There are many big creatures to eat in the sea.

  • if anyone got a link to watch these episodes tell me please

  • I sooo want one of these.

  • How would that work you asked? Place a hook on it and you'll find it's ass.

  • Why can't they first set up trackin device baits instead of walking around trying to get footages?

  • I find it wierd they NEVER have any real proof, but oh my God, I loove all the movies, it's fuckin' awesome. :D

  • come on , put the entire film mate.

  • There is still a chance. They found a fossil that is only 300 years old.

  • Megalania for Prime Minister

    Megalania for Prime Minister

    Megalania for Prime Minister

    Megalania for Prime Minister

    Megalania for Prime Minister

    Megalania for Prime Minister

  • i think its stil alive reptiles dont go exctint so easy armored skin, sharp teeth, strength, agility and speed and dont forget survival skills

  • ye i think your right i don't usally belive things like this. but this is something i do belive. like the komodo dragon maby it can have young without mating it only takes one. and a priest saw one in papa new guine and he wa a preist and he said simerler details of wat it actually looked like.

  • thanx dude

  • your welcome!

  • they went extinct because theyre prey went extinct, even the most powerful animal ever would die quickly if its food vanished

  • true but wat if it adapted to eating plants and crap like tegus do

  • if it was over MILLIONS on years yeah

but not in 20 000 years, nothing evolves that fast

  • not evolve adapt look up a tegu lizard and see wat it eats fruits vegitibles and meat maby megalania ate that also

  • Those things are irrelevant without a food source. Megalania's primary food source, a dwarf elephant species, died out. The Komodo Dragon is also dying out due to it's primary prey species also dying out.

It's not a case of adapting, these creatures lack the intelligence to do so. As cool as a giant lizard is, you just have to accept that it's gone.

  • The entire base of discovery is believing when there is almost nothing to believe in. The Right Brothers built something that was thought to be impossible. The discovery of tons of animals are because of people that did not just accept it. So who knows they did find those bones that were 300 hundred years old.

  • wheres part 2???

  • Theres millions of things the worlds governments are hiding from us. I wouldn't be surprised if there were millions of these things in an underground facility waiting to get out and eat us all

  • Gosh, I like this lizard. Megalania Rules. Megalania Forever. Guess who has THE nice array of animal widelife ever..we do, Aussieland. I WOULD LOVE to see creature when it was alive.. prefferably from the sky in an aircraft.

  • They'd need a lot to eat. They wouldn't be sipping tea buy the poolside. They'd be eat crock's like beacon. They'd be very noticable.

But there are bones. It would be easy to clone a lizard. Wow imagine the zoo that had this to see!

  • lol im going to oz and im going to stand near a forest and shout "HEY MEGALANIA! COME AND GET ME YOU 20 FOOT FREAK!" while jumping up and down with meat in my pocket, then i can draw it out, tranqualize it and be famous, then again, it might just kill me

  • uuhh. Steve you better hide the animalx are on

to us! lol jk. but animalx is really intresting

  • I would'nt be surprised, Im originally from Europe but live in Australia now and Australia is utterly VAST.

  • Avoriginees in Arnhem land describe an animal they call BURRUNJOR. Its description matches a meat eating dinosaur like T rex or tarbosaurus.

  • lol for a second i read it as "BURNINATOR" and i just thought... TRROOOOGGGGDDOOOORRR!!! lol. But seriously, i wonder if all these things could possibly exist outside the realm of normal zoological classification .. itd be scary if they did!! :-O lol

  • They almost certainly do. The govt knows far more than we think they do. They deliberately hide info from the public and give us the diluted crap. The nature of reality is very profound indeed

  • If Megalania Priscus is alive, we'll need to capture a few specimens and breed and conserve the species. I think that people who think that Megalania is still alive should fund a search team into the general area where these things have been sighted (as in 3000 miles circumference) and see if it's still alive.

  • it was the aborigines that killed them all.

  • I'm the missus (wife) of that Megalania and I've been looking for that bastard (me husband) since he went down the frog and toad (road) to the local watering hole (pub) last night...

If ya see 'im ya can tell the prick (prick) that his dinner is in the oven.

  • Australia is really very unbuilt up...and their must be so much unkown life in the bush... I think that it is definitely not inpossible for this creature to be still alive.

  • i dont see why it cant be living i mean australia hasent changed really since then

  • australlia was like antarctica and it will be in a few millions of years

  • I can't see how. Oz is heading toward Indonesia and will then be coliding with North America in a couple of days. So no sign of ice for hundreds of millions of years.

  • I meant ... LOL sorry

Antarctica will be like australia, because it is predicted by the world best Artificial intelligence, Icarcus,

yeah i know thats what my name is, my nick on the PC is icarcus, because my friends say that in like the a.i.

  • maybe...

  • If there were any left, they'd be hunted.

  • thats how ppl r stupid, they find one of something, and kill it. It could be the last one, and the idiots kill it.

  • I suspect something perhaps similar, Karawatha Qld. It's not a Megalania but this particular area is dotted with little lizards and in footage i posted on you-tube, took to be what i suspected, something else there a bit larger. Also the reeds are heavly bent near this billabong.
