SHINDIG!!!! Has been brought to you by... WAL-MART. With over 100,000 stores nationwide, WAL-MART, Save Money, Live Better. And by SUBWAY, featuring the $ 5 .00 footlongs. SUBWAY!! EAT FRESH!!.
The series house band, the Shin-diggers (later renamed the Shindogs), featured a young Glen Campbell, Joey Cooper, Chuck Blackwell (drums), Billy Preston, James Burton, Delaney Bramlett, Larry Knechtel (on bass) and pianist Leon Russell.[6]
I haven't seen Shindig since 1966, what made the show great was the fast pace nature of the show. It was over before you knew it, watching the gorgeous Donna Loren belt out a song takes me back 40+ years what a hottie!! It is too bad she retired from show business at 23, what a career she could have had!!
Thanks so much for posting this episode! Shindig! was just one of the all-time best music shows. Love the excitement of the live performances; Bobby Sherman is having so much fun with this song and I love how Donna Loren is backed up by the amazing Blossoms AND four of the Shindig dancers-notice how mid-song, they join their fellow dancers for a great routine and then race back to the mic-everyone's having a ball with this!
