  • man i'm mad my parents didn't take me up to the Observatory when I was a child. I was about 9 years old when those towers were knocked down. My last memory of seeing WTC was in 1999... I think we were driving west towards China Town and I remember just staring at the towers and asking my parents "What if a plane hits them? Do you think they'd fall?" and my father saying "No, they built those towers to handle a plane impact" The simple irony of me asking that question still haunts me to this day.

  • amerikan assassins...poor people...go away maericans...the planet earth dont like u.

  • what´s the name of the island next to the island that the statue of liberty stands on?

  • @airasweetie Ellis Island. It was an immigrant inspection station until the 50's

  • @jmjf1987 thanks i didn´t know that. in sweden you only get to know the most famous stuff about ny. and ofcourse the statue of liberty since it´s a present from a country in europe.

  • gret video! thanks for posting. so heartbreaking to know they are gone :(

  • merci , thx

  • Thank you so much for sharing your video with us! So many of us would have loved to have been able to do what you were able to do. I am sure you will never forget that day!

  • NO Cordoba mega mosque at Ground Zero!!

By the way, Cordoba is the city in southern Spain where muslims built their first great mosque at the start of, and as a symbol of, their conquest of Spain.

  • this is just a magnificent view!! Amazing!!

  • hehe hasta se oyen vocesiyas en español LOL

  • Who would have known that just 3 months later, they would be completely leveled to the ground....

  • what if you were sight seeing on 9/11 and you saw the plane go into your building.

  • lol fake wtf u saying

  • no how wierd that must of felt for the people who went on the world trade center for sight seeing september 10,2001 and the next day they were gone

  • THAT WOULD BE UNBELIEVABLE!

  • hmmmm??

  • Oh, that is good news it will at least be in New Jersey, I juat wish it could have been in its orginal spot, it belongs in the city, but I guess having it back in the world is just as good. xD

  • it might be

  • i live in the netherlands and been on vacation in new york in 1999 july when i went in the wtc i went up (took me 15 min to get up :S) got in the deck ,man that was scary :P

  • Better days...

Before the horror of the attack, lovely buildings, amazing skyline, fantastic view from the top and before there was the fanatical 9/11 troof movement. How I long for the days before 9/11.

  • Cool vid nice view sounds very peaceful up there and is much higher than the helicopter below.

Have never been to NY as I live in england.

But would love to go there.

  • I understand that, and the cleanup operation ended in May 2002, and I know its the Freedom Tower, but I hardly see how it shows freedom.

  • "Freedom Tower" has been dropped as the official designation. I think it's just going to be called one world trade center, I think that sounds better I never liked it being called the Freedom Tower. It was a bad name from the start, just reminds me of the last guy in the white house.

  • The WTC should have been back in the skyline in 2004, construction could have started in late 2002, through 2003 and opened early 2004. This country is ridiculous sometimes. We are stronger than this, and the Twin Towers need to rise again. Screw the Fear Tower.

  • its the freedom tower and the cleanup operation took nearly a year and then the memorial its quite easy to say should put them back in the skyline it takes longer than a few years and give people time to mourn instead of trying to forget about it

  • Hey the Towers can be rebuilt! This project called the Twin Towers II has been featured on NBC several times. I am apart of the rebuilding effort and this plan can be built at Ground Zero right NOW! If the Twin Towers II is not built at Ground Zero then it will be built in New Jersey where land is already ready. For more info contact me or Google, Twin Towers II project.

  • Nice video...I truly didn't realize how big the world trade centers were.

  • I can't believe they are going to replace all this with the shitty Freedom Tower.

  • wow at 5:48 you can see the I Am Legend house were that man and his dog lives and WOW AGAIN :D

  • aSDwogjisdfjbseg!!! FUCCK!!! OMG!! IM SOO ANGRY THAT....i never get to go visit the world trade center... >:'( its so beutiful!

  • 3 months later... surreal. rip 9/11 victims. thank you for the footage. i had always wanted to go up the towers, but this is the next best thing. thanks again for sharing. peace.

  • when i went to new york last april it was all secured of to the puplic but outside there they some people that were involed telling there story!

  • Great video.

  • Woow!

I'm so said that I haven't could see this! .. Cause i'm born in 1993 , And i come from holland , Does anyone know when they're going to start with building the new Word trade Center ?

    Greetz koen ,

  • awesome vid. never been to wtc or nyc but this vid showed me in a sense what it would have been like to visit. damn, why did 9/11 have to happen

  • que suerte que tuvistes en ir en junio y no en septiembre...:( :(

  • Thank you.I remember my visit on the top of the world on WTC, when I was 17 and that was in 1996. Long time ago. I still have nice pictures from the views, but i don´t have clips.

  • @joshua8790 ya but some other things might not have happened

  • have you been in the windows of the world cafe in the north tower i heared they have good food

  • We did not go to that restaraunt, I heard it was a pretty good place to eat as well.

  • @pbyardh I was there in early August 2001 when I was 4 or 5. I never got a children's menu!

  • @GrazioTech I'm still going.

  • is this the north tower

  • we climbed the south tower.

  • @pbyardh doesint that make you feel sick knowing that YOU climbed that tower and in 3 monthes it would be destroyed and also the feeling that you just pasted through deaths shadow that would make me sick to my stomach knowing that fact

  • i dont want a plane crashing into the empire state building in 2021

  • @grazio15 I had a dream about a plane crashing into the Empire State building once and have feared that it could be possible.

  • @grazio15 too late, a B-25 Michel bomber crashed into the Empire State building in 1945.

  • @grazio15 why would 1? except the fact al quedas a bitch

  • i really wish i could have gone in these . i came back from florida 2 days before this happend . im 14 now and im crying because i so wanted 2 see these . atleast im going in the freedom tower when its done . when i was in florida my mum said in 2003 we can see the twin towers and then 2 days later , there gone . r.i.p everyone who died on 11th september 2001 . i wish they would build them again along with the freedom tower . whoever caused this is so sick . my birthday is on september 10th .

  • In mid 2001 my chruch went to nyc attend a christian convention. we stayed at a hotle just a few blocks away from the wtc. one day we went to the observation deck there... I was on top of the world trade center 5 months before 9/11....I even remember eating at the cafe on the observation deck like it was yesturday... ironicly before we left, I got a lucky rabbit's foot at the observation deck gift shop which I still carry with me to this day... I hope all who died on 9/11 can rest in peace.

  • Fantastic footage... I wish they would just rebuild them...

Would have loved having them in GTA IV...

I'll visit NYC one day. It'll be Pimp.

  • i am getting gta soon on xbox 360 . the worst thing is that i have sayed where have your towers gone to americans on xbox live . i regret that now and i just hope everyone who died on 9/11 will r.i.p . plz plz rebuild these . give americans what they lost and deserve . give them there towers back !

  • kinda makes you wonder if their was any poor soul making a video like that when the plane hit.

  • nahh the observation deck didnt open until 9:30 so no1 was up there thank goodness

  • But maybe?? the person who did usually open it up, was around to do that on the day?

I suppose we will never know if people were on the roof.

  • well what i meant was no tourists were on the roof which is why i mentioned the Observation Deck opened at 9:30. Yes it is possible workers who open deck could have been up there that morning and some could have been on the 107th floor indoor deck. If someone was on the roof they would have been blown off I hope no one was up there.

  • the twin towers look beautiful in this video!

  • Three months later they are done. R.I.P. September 11, 2007

  • Starting at about 4:05 you can faintly hear fire truck and police sirens...how eerie!

  • Awesome video! Thanks for sharing :)

  • Glad you liked it. The strangest thing is I had lost it for several years, it was at the tail end of a video cassette and i couldn't locate it. One weekend I decided to review all of my tapes, specifically looking for this, because we knew it existed. Lo and behold I found it, and had to share. We often talk about the folks we met working there, and how they fared. Also the vicinity, we had a sandwich and a beer at an Amish shop nearby afterward...it would have been trashed. Thanks for liking it

  • Damn I love this city.

  • Es ist einfach nur schrecklich wenn man 3 monate vor dem attentat in dem wtc ist und man nie im leben an so etwas denken würde. und von heute auf morgen ist das die schreckliche realität!!! :'(

  • Well, we had a good time for this visit. What happened three months later.....yes, it was horrible. I'm glad you enjoyed this video! I thought I had lost it. It was a perfect day in New York City.

  • Its time to rebuild the tower! They were a symbol!!! rebuild it! <3<3

  • you are soo right

  • To me the Twin Towers are not (were) buildings, they are statues of freedom just like the statue of liberty.

  • listen many ppl hated the twin towers back in da day when they were first built but then ppl loved it thats how it will be with freedom tower there will b haters but ppl will learn to love it and thats it life goes on i miss the towers but those fucking terrorists fucked it all up i hope they burn in hell if i was on the plane 9/11 i would have cut them open

  • Those buildings were so tall.. and they still stand tall in the hearts of EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN.

  • observation deck is roughly same height as ur looking at. roof is 417m, identical to wtc1. so observation deck around the '100th' floor or slightly higher so relax

  • I went to New York a year ago, and being at ground zero was quit something. It's hard to beleive those towers aren't tere any more. Did you eat at windows on the world in the North tower?

  • they are NEVER going to rebuild those two towers

  • dude. you think they gonna do that?

they are goin to build smaller buildings because al quieda did not randomly choose them two buildings. for weeks after those attacks the financial center of america was at a virtual standstill.

they also aimed for the pentagon (hq of military)

    white house (presidents house)

america have learned from their mistakes. the wtc looked stable, but think about it:

three floors destroyed and the whole building collapses?

  • always wante to go to them hope they rebuild them even taller

  • En verdad, da miedo ver lo que fué, y ya no es ..

  • Google: 9/11 The Road To Tyranny 2003. Will tell it all. Everyone should see this!

  • Excellent Video!! Thanks so much for sharing what must have been a very memorable experience to say the least! I still get the chills when watching any video/movie with them still in it. :( Were you in the Windows on the World Restaurant when you video taped some of this video??

  • I'll never get to experience that because now the fucking liberals are replacing it with the pussy tower.

  • so its going to be taller

  • no it isnt. the pussy tower is 69 floors high, not 110.

  • two amazing world icons being replaced by a giant glass shot needle. that's a downright crime all in its own.

  • everytime i see this video im crying

  • This video taken by someone on Thursday, June 7, 2001 while I was taking a tour in Fort Dix, NJ at that time reminds me of my last visit to the Observation Deck on Saturday, September 6, 1997.

  • Just 3 months and 1 day from terrorist attack.

  • It's scary shit how this building was reduced to burning rubble in the space of 2 months.

  • I was there in June 1980 -- it was a sunny day pretty much like this one -- and have only had a few photos to remember the incredible views by. Thanks for allowing me to come fairly close to reliving the experience!

  • wow that realy cool, was you able to get in the north tower?

  • I love this video.. I feel like I'm there.

  • i been woundering wat are those dark lines on the wtc?

  • That's just the facade. The windows.

  • Brilliant video, kudos to the creator. What a massive shame that they were attacked :( Two things I would do if I could go back in time to 2001, save the wtc and buy apple stock!!!

  • me too man..me too..i had the change to go before 9-11 and i didnt go..

  • well when i was born i even know how to say the bulidings full name by the time i was 3 years old because everytime i go to nyc i go to the holland tunnel and i always look at the buildings

  • it's nice to see what it was like from the top of there as i am never going to experiance that , you are a very lucky person.

  • She's pissing him off something rotten...

  • Great Video!

  • Thanks, glad you liked it.

  • Sorry about that arguement I had.

  • Nice posting man thanks for the Memories

  • wow what a beautiful view . i really wanted to go there some day . its really a powerful video to me . thanks

  • thank you so much for posting this. i went to the top of the world in 1989 when i was 12 years old with my grandma. they were just amazing. i was truly in love with the towers as well as new york city and i still remember the feeling of being up there, and just realizing how small you are. i also remember being in the plaza and looking up at them for the first time, the word mighty comes to mind. i sure do miss them.

  • I was in NYC in mid-July 2001 and went to where the towers were. I wanted to go up in them but didn't have time to go up in them, which I really regret now. I remember getting dizzy trying to see the tops of the towers from the ground. Thank you so much for posting this video.

  • if i was that high id be so dizzy id probably fall off

  • dont say that your going to fall off a 110 story building

  • i found my flag^^

  • this brought back awesome memories, i was at this exact same spot 3 weeks before the 9/11 attacks, i must have gone through 6 rolls of film (pre digital camera days) shooting every point around the observation deck ...incredible

  • Was anyone on the observation deck when the plane first hit?

  • No, because the people who were in the building said the doors were locked (conveniently) so they couldn't go up there.

  • in september 98 i visited wtc2, very nice view, we had nearly the same weather-shiny.

the attacks were ,this is NOT a joke-forecasted to my by a person with a near-death experience-he even made detailed descriptions of the committers, their place of living and even talked to Atta because he visited him in hamburg-this is -as i wrote-NOT- a joke. he had this experience on august 1995.

  • graet video man, where are you from? man i miss that place. i like what you wrote up top too.

  • In my life I probably was in the Twin Towers at least 1,000 times working as an electrician and to me it still is not a believeable thing that they are no longer there. As well as the amount of people I came across while doing jobs there, that were killed. The numbers are countless. It is a sad, sad thing.

  • That skyline is unreal!

  • I went ther on august something in 2001, and I remember a very nice security gaurd help my mom go in an autherize elevator cause my mom was scared of the express elivators...I hoped she survived :(

  • New York is the center of the world. Big Apple.

  • Yea right. It´s London of course! :)

  • It's so beautiful to see the twins... I love them and I miss them so much !!! I'm so sad, because the September 11 and because I have never seen the towers :-(

  • Us is a first pollued man of the world...respect the nature man !

  • The most telling comment after 9/11 was Bin Laden exclaiming how proud he was that nineteen high school graduates (i.e., of relatively limited education) could pull off such a complex event -- all about destruction but nothing about creation, innovation, nor construction.

This is the enemy who hates us so much that they will not stop until there is no understanding at all.

  • Why, they dont know why those terrorists comes destroy those towers WHY? why its so hard to do so big towers, he don have love.... :(...

  • was there june 1997 this brought memories flooding back. thanks

  • I am so sad because I never had the chance to see it. Have they cleand up all the mess yet?

  • holy crap...truly amazing video, ive never seen new york from the top of those, ive been on rockefeller, chrysler and of course the empire state building....great video, wish those towers were still there

  • Fuck off Usama bin Laden!!!!!

  • Twin Towers forever, Nothing can replace those wonderful structures

  • That's a really impressive video. I've been at the Twin Towers, but at the time I didn't film it , just took some pictures. Watching your video really make me cry , remember that in spit of that they're building a new and taller building know (The Freedom Tower), it will not be the same.

The Twin Towers were so unique, so Magnificent. I wish that they would build exactly the same again. Well, they could built two Freedom Towers, why not ? Then, we could call them "Twin Towers".

  • Hola Clapsubak! Glad you liked it, but all I do is upload what I upload. No time to do anything else. Trying to edit more Maggie right now.

  • WTC 4ever!!! I'm missing you :-(,... I'm so sad, because I've never saw you :'-(

  • God I envy you. I wish I could have seen the buildings before they were taken from us. Great footage, Im really sorry for your feelings. We all feel this way. Im shure most of us still think about the horrible event. Its impossible not to.

  • Thanks, I am glad I retrieved this, I thought it was lost. I knew you would like it! 8-)

  • Nice footage, but gives me chills. :(

  • TVADICT your sick!!!

  • I wish the terroists had destroyed empire state building on 9/11 instead of the twin towers. wtc was/is better.

  • Oo crazy? I wish the terrorist stayed at home this day... The Empire State Building is more traditional than the wtc... I think the Wtc is only such famous because it was destroyed. I even didn't know it before 9/11^^

  • they were the tallest buildings in the world, that was their initial claim to fame. Then they weren't so they added the antenna to reclaim it. I wish I could have went in them once, and saw them from the outside to have an idea of how big they were.

  • Heh, the Empire State building is actually a much stronger structure than the WTCs. A commercial jet would have probably just bounced off the Empire State building.

  • your sick!!

  • your fuckin twisted and sick.

  • than why don't you move and get outta here?

  • omg that look so high and the people who was in worl tread center that die it crash take a choide just lay down on floor or jump out of the tower if they had cellphones they called all freinds and everything and say a lsat godbye..that sad endning

  • I wish now I took the video camera up there with me back in 1999 when I went up the towers :-(

  • mad dog ur a prick what you doing in america then your scum

  • I don't think madog is in America, otherwise he wouldn't be saying such crap, because he would know the truth.

  • nice video its the part i always wanted to see from the twin towers =)

  • when i was little me and my family went to NYC and we went into the towers. to think of what happened and to know that you were once standing there gives me the chilles.

  • two things i always wanted to do go up wtc and second to go on concorde both gone sad times

  • I remember back in the late 70s how people use to criticize the WTC's design and how they were not good architecture. Still, like many of you, I always wanted to see the WTC up close. It may sound kind of shallow but the Twin Towers were probably the epitome of New York City. Manhattan simply isn't what is use to be without them standing.

    :(

Bless those souls that were killed in such a horrible inccident.

  • whoever said the WTC was not good architecture does not know what they're talking about. Their beauty was their simplicity. Two towers standing together. Although they were different, they fit New York perfectly. The Freedom Tower is the worst architecture ever. It looks like something you shot heroin with. They should just scrap this project right now and make that site a park. I'd rather see no towers than the FT.

  • i disagree, the towers are gone and its time to rebuild. the towers were fantastic i know but do not write off the building being made to try replenish the cripled area (i pressume office space). freedom tower is a modern design, u surely cant expect replicas made. they were 60's/70's buildings but with timeless architecture. truest me, im not from the u.s but i believe u will all be proud of the buildingS that replace these wonders

  • doubt it. these new buildings are a disgrace to those who died.

  • I know what you mean, as the towers were simple in form. They were more of an engineering project rather than an architectural break-through. Bold they were, but the towers alienated the people and surrounding buildings. FYI: Freedom tower does blow hard. This is true. Two white elephants removed, perfect for an inside job. If we're good enough for war, we're good enough to die in a tower.

  • i know wtc was one of the best buildings built and i felt it was over sean because of the sears tower being taller but i miss then i do like the freedom tower though but its not the same but im glad somethings going there

  • just to let u know they cheated the sears tower they say its 110 floors but it only has 108 and that little penthouse on the roof doesnt count so without that the building is only 1,430 feet so not big difference cuz wtc was 1,368 and 1,362 and the observation deck was about 1,380 feet so not bad

  • Thats what i always wanted to do, take pictures of them from every angle all over new york, and video taped them.
