This brings back memories of my childhood. I lived in spring lake from December 1985 to September of 1993 and lived in grand haven from September 1993 to august 2005. I now live in Dublin Ohio.

Wait I remember this melody on KGO in 1994 but as an instrumental. But we call the promo theme as "7 on your side". Also I remeber this theme on KGO as News One"

@dinfg6 Actually, News One was created to fit "Channel 7 News". There's a special ABC ID from this time for KGO...the last note of the News One signature is dropped and ABC's three-note theme signature of its era is in its place, so it reads "Channel 7, ABC" even musically.

KFSN the ABC O&O in Fresno still uses the News One theme and WBMA another ABC Affilialte still uses this theme
