Thank you.  I was not at all familiar with this piece by Telemann. "Meine Canarine" is so touching. Thank you for exposing more unfamiliar music to me. Also, thanks for the interesting background. It saves me from having to Wikipedia!

Das ist ja unglaublich! Eine grandiose Leistung Fischer-Dieskaus (Stimmführung, Triller etc.). Wenn man diese wunderbare Aufnahme negativ beurteilt, muß wohl ein kräftiger Gehörschaden vorliegen. Herzlichen Dank für die Kantate, die ich nur teilweise kannte.

A marvelous musical and dramatic experience. How a minimum of means (voice, oboe, strings, harpsichord) can achieve what an opera house and 200 players and singers can do.

The visuals are magnificent. A great way to interest young people in classical music. Delicious lyrics and diverting pictures will make them "forget the bitter pill" of classical music.
