My parents let me drive a Suburban when I was 8 on more than one occasion. It's not disturbing, it fucking happens. The media in America is so just opposed to anything these days. It's disgusting. I have been driving 8 years and only 4 of those were legal (I got my license when I was 17), and I'm a lot better than most people in my age group.
What's the problem here?He's gonna be a good driver since he started so early,it's gonna be like a natural thing to him and I imagine he must be glad that parents trust him like this,besides that it was a straight road and I bet his dad taught him how to drive on low speed first.
All I can say about this is I was 8 years old when I learned how to drive along with 80% of Canada But I was showing how to drive on back roads were there was little to know traffic an ow I'm a 5 Star driver., have to learn sometime.

that is STUPID....it can only be safe if the car was speed limited to 20 km/h with such a young person, who would have NO IDEA about braking distances, steering pressure, oversteer, understeer e.t.c And his reaction time would be ALOT LONGER to brake if something suddenly ran out in front of him, especially at 70 km/h

OMG LOOK A 7 YEAR OLD DRIVING!who gives a fuck i drove at age 13(now 17)after i had my golf lessons all the time in parking lots and had NO PROBLEMS at all,it also made me a really good driver,so in the long run if nobody was hurt things are okey

He seems to be driving just fine, just because hes 7 does not mean he's retarded. If children have the capability of driving go carts and mastering guitar hero, then I'm sure they have the motor skills necessary for operating a vehicle if properly taught. Just because a law is in place doesn't mean that its insane for a child to be able to pull it off. Perhaps the only concern is the maturity of the child and his/her observation of safety and state road laws.

No kidding. Its not like the kid is driving in downtown LA. It's a right of passage, like sharing a little bit of beer with your dad while hes bbqing. My father let me drive on a rural highway when I was 10, and it is one of my greatest childhood memories.
