Wow, Greenport. What great memories. Spent my entire childhood summers at 608 Carpenter Street with my Grand parents Charlie and Shara Boutcher. The beach they were swimming on looks very much like "67" Steps on the sound. My friends back then (50' and 60') were Joffey Harroun, Brad Conklyn, Garry Clip, Donny Leadon. We used to hang out at Gull Pond but that was long before they dredged it out. I truely enjoyed this "Road trip to Greenport as it brought back great memories. Thank you. . . Rick
holy crap i recognize all the places in this vid! g-po (as we call it) is my hood. thanks 4 visiting! its a great place to visit and live, especially in the fall when its warm but not as much tourist traffic. glad to see u enjoyed it! next time u shuld stay at our yacht club right outside of town and right on the bay! look us up: poorboys yacht club, greenport!
Wow, i remember those fields passing by.I live in brooklyn and went there to go to a skatepark with my cousin, who lives in stony brook. Greenport was very nice! Skate park was awesome apart from the kids doing drugs.
Haha. I don't know how I tripped on this video, but I actually live in greenport all the time, and I really feel blessed. By the way, where you guys were swimming (the sound) if you go out a little ways from the shore (just a little, you'll find a sandbar, and if you look down, all you see is pink. There'a beautiful line of starfish as far as the eye can see.) Glad you strangers had fun. : )
