yes janbabe2 but there are good shark attack videos on the net too. Try the likesharks site. They have attack videos, scuba encounter videos, and more. They also have info on each shark species and research. Type likesharks into google, and its the first one - enjoy!
Everyone needs to understand that first of all...sharks are more ancient than us. Swimming in the ocean is entering their territory. Most sharks don't even like the taste of humans so most of the attacks are mistaken identity. I live in Florida along its east coast and shark attacks are common. Like I said it's their territory. If you like to swim in the ocean just remember to be safe... no open wounds etc...I think everyone should know that by now.
thats why i never snorkel in the ocean without a large diving knife.......fucker comes at me he is gonna get more than an arm to eat.......a 16 blade will give him desert
well , i am a rescue diver working at sharm since early 90s and i can assure u guys that sharks attacks never happend here before actually , the red sea is too tinny for big killing sharks to live in , i know that might sound too conspiratorial but listen to this : the Israeli authorities asked their citizens for the imidiate evacuation of the sinai penisula just 3 days before the attacks !!! that shark was obviously planted on egyptian waters by our lovely neighbours. i
@82boulou lol. u must watch too many movies. Yeah the Israelis caught or trained killer sharks and dumped them into the sea there. Man, u people are always coming up with some reason to blame or hate the Israelis. I know this might sound weird but is it entirely possible that it could be wild animals acting like wild animals and attacking people like wild animals do at times?
Hi I saw a link of a video with a friend of yours being attacked by a white tip reef shark. We are making a documentary about what has happened in the Red Sea. Would we be bale to use the footage that you have and maybe interview your friend? My contact details are ruthharries@tigressproductions.co.uk
this is not shark attack , longmanos like to come closer to divers to have alook , and this shark not longer than 1.5m , it was just shark skin touch snorkler arm , good luck for all .
" We were all promised that the sea was safe," said a witness to the most recent shark attack in Sharm el-Sheikh "

@codelocator because diving is fun!! observing sharks underwater is amazing, people pay crazy money to go to places where this can be done for sure - like Cocos Island (see my Cocos clip!)
Hi Divegirl , I have been 16 times and I will not stop going, I saw what september 11 did to Egyptian Tourism. This news is terribly sad, but we chose to enter their environment, so should be prepared for the possible circumstances.
this is the same type of shark- oceanic whitetip- they think is responsible for today's fatal attack, and last week's 2 attacks which resulted in limbs being lost.
considering what's been happening back in Sharm THIS week, I think my friend did have a lucky escape. there was one local man killed by a shark in Naama Bay that year (2003), then of course the French woman was killed last year (2009) down in Southern red Sea and now all THIS is happening in Sharm (2010).... Not that I am going to stop coming to the Red Sea for diving, though. My trip no. 17 is booked for this Xmas/New Year, as usual....
Well i'm egyptian but i advice you not to go there for diving you can come enjoy the weather and have a tan but don't go to the water it's not safe at all right now...and don't believe those who tell you its safe now we caught the fish cause its not ...my boyfriend was there the couple of days ago when things happened and he tells me that its not safe at all and the fishermen and people who are responisible for the diving and the snorking don't really know..so be careful
@fusilier45 of cause not. especially they apparently got the wrong ones. there are so few sharks left out there. people kill thousands of sharks every year....
@divegirl2372 my cousin went to Egypt and she went in the red sea and saw a shark and she had to get out the water but id love to go there it looks so nice
this attacks happen in all over the worlds and also Egyptian government make a team for keep search for this sharks , and if u see , the rate of attacks too few , any way , i just report that to to know that we dont accept our visitors get hurts or attack..... thx for ur attention an du welcomed any time :)
I wouldn't even classify this as an attack. The shark passed to check him because he was thrashing in the water as he swam, and probably grazed past his arm. Because shark skin has tiny denticles which make it like sand paper, it can cut skin very easily.
The guy should have stopped swimming to assume a more defensive position, holding his limbs close until the predator moved on.
Had the shark really bitten, the victim could have lost an arm or leg!
Nice music
