did any1 try the jolicloud....can sum1 confirm this one is better *.....i didn't realize my hidden recovery partition was deleted part of the "clean" installation...i need either an OSX86 or another linux netbook OS....
can sum1 tell me if this thing handles websites okay??
What's so special about Moblin compared to other LInux distros meant for netbooks?
BTW I tried the Mobiln beta, was not very impressed. Lots of segmentation crashes in applications, lots of stuff missing like Flash. It seemed like it was much more ALPHA rather than beta. Can't understand how a Linux distro could be made so unstable.
I currently use Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my Acer One, very stable and quick, wont be changing any time soon.
Wonderful! Very professionally done, well done lads (and ladies). Is the underlying Linux OS modeled on any particular distribution (like say Ubuntu)?

Wow...that looks awesome! Too bad it won't run on the netbook I want, as I want the netbook that runs on ARM processor! :)

Well first of all its called linux kernal... not ubuntu kernal...
Next I looked on the moblin site and it isn't based on anything.
It has however taken certain things from many distros.

No ti is not go to the moblin site and look it is built basically from scratch.
It does take certain things from distros ranging from ubuntu to fedora.
However it is not based on any distro.
It does use .rpm's though like fedora this does not make it based on fedora.

weird everywhere i look they say its based on fedora..... y not use debs they are better (in MY opinion)

Well if you go on the moblin site itself, you could easily find out lol.
However they are probably saying that due to Fedora to be the most known distro to use .rpms.
