@Gatta9 you're catholic church is just a sick hideout for pedophile priests who can rape kids and never face charges like the rest of humanity. how come the catholic church didnt come into existance until 300+AD.

1-@huntersingle If you come across an apple tree and you find some rotten apples .
Will you assume the WHOLE tree is rotten?
The Catholic church is the Mystical Body of Christ. It is His church, it is His Body, He is the head, we are the members. By its very definition, it can not be corrupt.
However, as with the parable of the weeds and the tares, God has decreed that the evil ones are to be left to be judged by Him, and by Him alone, so that there are evil and corrupt people in the church all through the ages. Nevertheless, this does not affect its holiness or purity, as that is guaranteed by Jesus who said, "Behold, I shall be with you until the end of time."
3-@huntersingle Let us see: Here is a Church that possesses unity of faith and an unchangeable code of morals, which counts three hundred millions of men as her children, which has lasted for nineteen centuries, and bids fair to last until the end of all time. Now, to tell us that this is all due to the sagacity and genius of Catholics is much too flattering to be true, and we honestly cannot so accept it.
Without any claim to an unusual degree of humility, we may, on the part of Catholics, venture to express the opinion that they are not endowed with any more skill, sagacity, or genius than other folk. We disclaim all natural superiority, as Catholics, over our fellow-men.
The defenders of your 300 AD theory hardly believe it themselves, but they put it forth in order to avoid the necessity of acknowledging the true character of the Catholic Church. For there is no other way of giving a rational account of the Catholic Church, except by recognizing that she was founded by Christ, and is guided and upheld by the Holy Spirit of God.
@Gatta9 your catholic church forced their belief on peoples or they would kill them. all over south america is accounts of you catholics killing these people who didnt convert. read you moron instead of raping little kids.
You have read garbled accounts. No one denies the existence of cruelty and persecution in the history of the ages. But they have been exaggerated. Nor were they due to the Catholic point of view. They were in spite of the Catholic viewpoint, and due to the imperfect notions of the times, times in which Protestants were not less cruel than Catholics. The Catholic Church has been caricatured by misunderstanding and misinformed writers.
To promote such embelished history is a monstrous fable. History itself shows that human beings, whether Catholics, Protestants, Muslims or Pagans,Even simpletons like yourself have been guilty of great cruelties to one another.
Even ecclesiastics, if you wish, through their own fault and not through any teaching of their Church, have been guilty of excessive cruelty. Such excesses cannot be justified, but it was their own personal conduct. It was not inspired by their CATHOLICITY, but by their own mistaken, or even evil dispositions .

God Himself, who gave the Ten Commandments, does not compel men willy-nilly to keep them. The State takes upon itself the responsibility of educating its future citizens; but always it will find that it lets loose upon society some whom it is unable to govern, and who will respond to no appeals for law and order.
@brygenon I like Rita plenty, but I'm pretty sure she would freely admit she doesn't have the vocal talent that Boz Scaggs does. And she doesn't have to be at that level, she's pretty damn interesting anyway.
I saw this lady perform (at Penrith Leagues Club - Sydney). There were only 40 people in the audience but Rita was the consemate performer and played to each and everyone of us. One of the best concerts of my life.
I once met a Greek girl at a disco her in Melbourne in 1977 and she was the spitting image of Rita Coolidge. Everytime I hear this, I think of that chick... long gone memory from the distant past. And I never did find out her name.
hey, i wrote this poem: How can i forget? How can i forget? the way u smile the way u laugh how can i forget every single word u said the way u looked at me the way u talked to me the way ur eyes found mine in the hall how could i possibly forget? how can i convince my heart to let go? u mean the world to me and to me, it doesnt matter how u change or the mistakes u make i will never forget, that i love u does anyone know a perfect love song to match it?
Almost no teenagers are no longer listening to this kind of songs. but I'M a TEENAGER and i LOVE listening to this. Songs these days got nothing to the songs before. Songs like this wont get old

it brings so many fond memories I heard this song through the years, but this video the last time I saw it was in 1978 when I was living El Salvador, this is a timeless and ageless romantic classic song by the always lovely Rita Coolidge
I grew up hearing this version in the 70's as a teenager and loved it - I only recently heard Boz Scaggs version, and while he IS a great singer - for me Rita C. owned this track...but that is probably because hers was the version my tender ears kept hearing on the radio. How we went from this great music to Lady Googoo is beyond me....
VEz ou outra entro aqui para ouvir essa canção e cantar junta com ela. Impossível não se sentir emocionado e mais feliz, Rita Coolidge é um presente aos meus ouvidos e ao meu coração. Maravilhosa!
Loved this as a 13 year old, but as punk and disco were breaking big, it would have been too square to admit. I think I had a bit of a crush on Rita too.
@CCleveland1953 And it's a generational song also! It's one of my parents' favorite songs too. They are now in their 35 year of marriage! It's a truly "pure" and beautiful song! It seems to open doors to a whole new world of possibilities!...Awsome!...Wish you all the best and keep fuelling that solid relationship!:-)...
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Heavens to Kriss Kristoferson! THANKS so much for posting this beautiful song! It's always been one of my favorite tunes from the 70's. Rita is a very beautiful and very talented lady! You've MADE my day & my week! CHEERS, mate! :-)
I'm still trying to figure out whose was the original. Scaggs may have wroten it - but Coolidge carries it out of Yankee Stadium straight into Queens! Another who recorded it first question: "Mother and Child reunion" - Paul Simon or the Pioneers?
@Zickcermacity Boz Scaggs sang it first and I think his version was much better. I came here after listening to his version of it to see if I would still feel the same way and unfortunately I do. She just puts no feeling into singing it. Just kind of one note.
Many years ago when this was on every radio station every hour, she sang it on a TV show I watched, and her husband then---Chris Christopherson introduced her onto the stage. His comment was, "She's going to sing a song that is a favorite around our house" . I well imagine it made them a mint, but that marriage failed. I bet he has rued the day though when the divorce was final.
but the melody is wonderful if God tubiera this serious form of song is a song only with a magnificent celestial masterful interpretation rita you musically perfect creation you are the greatest thing that has united states you are a song that exudes love and everything feeling ecstasy in large capital letters are great as is your sweet tender voice I love you with all my heart I praise you and put on a pedestal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not know that Bozz Scaggs wrote this! Wow,& I was just thinking about them the other night.SPOOKY! Ah,Rita Coolidge,a seriously beautiful native American woman with a beautiful voice!

CCleveland1953 9 months ago 29
@CCleveland1953 And it's a generational song also! It's one of my parents' favorite songs too. They are now in their 35 year of marriage! It's a truly "pure" and beautiful song! It seems to open doors to a whole new world of possibilities!...Awsome!...Wish you all the best and keep fuelling that solid relationship!:-)...

Boz Scaggs Wipes his ass all over this.....But She can actually STILL sing this...He can't....quite sad really
yarekhunt 10 months ago
@yarekhunt
I'm still trying to figure out whose was the original. Scaggs may have wroten it - but Coolidge carries it out of Yankee Stadium straight into Queens! Another who recorded it first question: "Mother and Child reunion" - Paul Simon or the Pioneers?
Zickcermacity 9 months ago
@Zickcermacity Boz Scaggs sang it first and I think his version was much better. I came here after listening to his version of it to see if I would still feel the same way and unfortunately I do. She just puts no feeling into singing it. Just kind of one note.

Well as the song goes, you're "one in a million"! The rest of us thing Rita's rocks!
