As a white American, I am ashamed of the way blacks and other minority groups have been treated since the founding of our nation. Mr. King was certainly flawed as a human (as we all are) with his adulterous lifestyle, but I applaud his efforts not just for civil rights, but equal rights. He died for what he believed in, and I believe that James Earl Ray was just a pawn. Will we ever know, doubtful. And that's a shame.
