@compwiztutorials just a lot of the original starter kits they had back then. Now if you go to their website vexrobotics they have things like turntables and such which is probably what I'd end up using if I were to try to build something like this today.
Hello, I want to know if you have work on a robotic arm to lift heavy weights like 4 o 5 kilos (9 or 10 pounds), I'm building a Rover and I need one arm like that, if you have diagrams or photos will be great. Thanks.
Haven't, the only suggestions I can make is to use worm gears and consider the whole setup, if you are lifting 10lb weights and swinging them around, rover had better be 20-30lbs or have some special balance setup.
Evidently there is some a/v sync problem in this video as played on youtube, not sure why, I double-checked the original just now and there is no such problem.
How many motors you have used?

It would have to work less hard if you counter-balanced all your arm sections.

What is the vex kit you used to build this?

How you drop the tire has no sort of perfect angle, so it's worthless for Quad Quandrary.

hey I was thinking about doing something like that for the new 2008 vex competition "quad quandary"

If the a/v sync is messed up for you, try the video in 'video responses'. It's an exact copy but I didn't depend on youtube to do the audio encoding.

man that is a cool robot!
