  • No, no, no. You people have it all wrong. They're singing, "She's so popular." Jeez, aren't you listening?

  • I find It amusing that this version of the song, which depicts the Chinese as the monsters is still on youtube, but a superior version, which is more universal is blocked.

  • @Prunesqualer Just as long as I can get my egg rolls....that's what matters.

  • This video is timed really well to the song. Impressive!

  • I have been looking for this song for ever abd the name I herad in the X games but the remix nice allander

  • I had the song at top volume in my room when my dad asked me if I knew what the song was saying. I didn't care. I just liked the beat. He then gave me a whole lesson on DeGaulle, France, jeux sans frontieres, and the games. I could have cared less then, but now I listen to a song that I still like and realize that, holy shit, my dad knew something when I was a kid that knew everything and older people are so full of it.

    It's pretty cool Peter.

  • Jeux sans frontieres means "games without frontiers" or "games without borders".

"Its a knockout" was a gameshow started in 1965 where countries in Europe wore silly costumes and competed in silly games (just like a gameshow).

This was all started by an idea from French President Charles De Gaulle. He hoped it would make a friendship between France and Germany.

3 guys from France made the game expand throughout Europe.

Believe me. I know. I was 15 when this song came out.

  • Anyone speak french?

jeux san frontiers means its a knockout

the french version and uk version of the classic game show of the 70's

  • interesting update....

  • I've been looking for the German version. If anyone knows where I can find it, please let me know.

  • Russia to use force if Georgian shelling continues 02 August, 2009,

  • The lyrics are seen as a critique of nationalism and war, which the song portrays as essentially childish. The tag line of the song, "Games without frontiers, war without tears" is a comment on the sublimation of the rivalries within Europe, caused by centuries of war, in a meaningless game
