  • Good job sis!

  • thats correct

  • @imamkuwna why the hair wet

  • @MsOfficialAsia Thank your for watching. Her hair is not wet. It has a protective coating on it. To help prevent breakage from overlappin. I think I mentioned that.

  • Thank you!! It works for my hair too. I wish more stylists would reccomend this to their clients

  • It was for demonstration purposes only. Thats why I stopped the video, to complete the retouch. Thanks for watching. I appreciate the complement

  • =-) Thank you!!!

  • ok is her hair wet and i thought you wasnt suppose to put perm on wet hair or after the hair has been washed

  • Thank you for watching. I would like to say her har is not wet. It has a protective coating on it applied by me. It protects the already relaxed hair.

  • i really wanted to see the final product, very nice i wish u had a salon in jersey

  • Keesha! super important question please respond I need your help. Can I trim my hair first and then relax it. I am in the middle of a stretch and until I find out where you are or find someone local I need to trim my hair so it won't break off and I can keep it growing. It is the ends. The rest is fine during the couse of my stretch so far. i can probably only make it another week or two before I must get a touch up.

  • You can trim before your retouch. Just make sure you dont disturb your scalp. Thanks

  • Thank you for posting the truth, I am a student so I know the proper way to apply chemicals to hair and this is it. It's great to see that you didn't forget what you learned in school. I too will practice the same Professionalism very soon in Alabama!

  • what did you use to base her scalp?

  • Thank you so much and you are very knowledgeable. You are absolutely correct with protecting the scalp and hair with a touch up and starting in the back first and doing edges last.. Thank you

  • ok so when you get a virgin relaxer and stretch it to 7 weeks the next should it be a touch up or another virgin relaxer??

  • i really love how you explain your process . I watch a lot of hair videos and I learn something new everytime, like the 1/2 inch away from the scalp when relaxing. great. I also did not know not to use the combs when undoing my wrap. thx

  • I so did not know not to relax my whole head every ten weeks. That explains all my breakage and damage. Now I know how to truely do it. Thanks so much! Now its just the matter of explaining it to my mom. Thanks again. I hope you post alot more!

  • excellent video

  • Hairstylists know how to relax properly but many of them don't b/c they don't care, they are just trying to get as many heads in and out to make more money and properly taking care of hair takes time and patience, which many dont care to spend on their clients' hair. I have had my hair damaged and taken out by many a stylist. When I stopped going to them all and started relaxing/caring for my own hair, using the tips that they always knew but never did, my hair grew and got healthy.

  • I'm sorry for your bad experiences. I do practice what i preach. quality over quantity any day! =)

  • seem sweet ,but stop giving away all the secrets lol have a great day.

  • I really like that you take great care in putting the relaxer on the new growth. I wish you were in Texas

  • My former mentor would get mad at me for not combing the relaxer through, I would smooth it in with my hands I would tell her that she was damaging clients hair by doing her methods I guess why when folks go to her they never sit in her chair again! On point tips!

  • Many thanks great video!

  • what is a virgin relaxer

  • a virgin relaxer is a relaxer that is done to hair that has never had a chemical straightener on it before. it is the only time you should relax all the way to the ends. thanks for watching and good question.

  • thanks for watching and commenting and subbing everyone!!!!!!

  • This was a great video!!! Thanks for the tips :)

  • nyce video

  • ohhhh!!! good tips girl! i wish i could sit in your shop and get all your tips and get my damn hair done too!

  • what is the cream called that you put on your clients hair to prevent overlappping, my sylist also uses design essential hair products but she nevers uses that

  • CHECK OUT MY VIDEOS

  • Quick question...I am confused a bit..u said realxers should be done every 6 to 8 weeks are u talking about just touch-ups?...(this is coming from someone who is used to realxing my whole hair every 10 weeks..I didnt know about hair being overprocessed, but then wonder why my hair would be damaged at times.)

  • Thank you for watching. Yes,only do a relaxer retouch every 6-8 weeks. Only do the new growth. Thats why i said that cream was put on the hair that was already relaxed. It aids in helping to not overprocess your hair, because overlapping may occur. Good question though.=)

  • does ur hair break off alot?? u arent supposed to relax any part of ur hair more than once

  • Thanks for asking. Actually no it doesn't. I shampoo, condition and wrap my hair every week. I maintain any split ends and to keep my hair looking neat, I trim every other retouch. And you are right. That's why you only retouch the new growth with relaxer. The new unrelaxed hair.

  • I love your video! I always put my relaxer on my scalp...oops! Now I know better.

  • I can't wait for your next videos! They are so informative.

  • THANK U SO MUCH. GLAD I COULD HELP!!

  • Great Video!!!!!

  • thank you!!!

  • Hi! Great video!

I know you said in the video the cream that you used to protect the previously relaxed hair came with the relaxer itself..

Is there any product similar to that that could be used at home?

    Thank you ahead of time!

    Taylor

  • thanks for watching and if you dont have the cream i use, i have heard of some beauticians using cream conditioner

  • Cream conditioner? Like just regular conditioner you would use after a shampoo? Or something special?

  • Oh yeah, I love the fact that you used the proper term, relaxer and not perm, I have a pet peeve about that, LOL.

  • lol... meeee too! thanks for noticing =)

  • You seem to know your stuff girl! Great vid, I love the fact that you stated "no sooner than 6-8 wks but some can go longer depending on their hair."

  • i try..i really do. i appreciate the fact that you really watch the video and you also get something out of it. thank you

  • thank you so much for this video. I am so paranoid about going to beauticians because I have been burned so many times. You really put yourself out there by taking us behind the scenes if you will. Are you close to Atlanta. If so, I would like to book an appointment.
