Wow, man that was a fast reply! Thanks! Well, they say it's not safe, and my dad said "if you ride a motorcycle I can promise you will eventually crash". Then someone told me to google "live to ride ride to die". It was pretty graphic stuff. All I know is that the class was pretty darn FUN! I want to start out with maybe the 250 ninja. Your dad is pretty much correct. Everyone I know that rides has crashed. That is anecdotal evidence, but the risk of crashing a bike is pretty high if you ride for any length of time. The best thing to do is 'plan for the crash' and wear motorcycle protective gear (leather jacket, pants, boots, gloves, full face helmet etc...). I still get crap all the time from family and friends for riding, it really is a dangerous activity and that is something that you will have to deal with. Strangers think its 'cool', but people who care about you won't want you to do it. It's a blast though :D
