there's a lot of misinformation here that you can get corrections for. Such as the dry sugar cane is iron gates, that spike is also an iron gate, also incentives for exploring would be a story line/achievements. Another thing what we saw in the first two slides would be what I believe are called citadels or something of that nature not too much is known about these.

At the "Dry Sugarcane" thats not sugarcane

its Portcullis/Gate, as u can see in the "Outside"at the Left in colour Gray, Sugarcane is only placeable in Dirt near water, :)

You know the spikes are gonna be a BLOCK, not an object.(cause originally they thought of spike pistons, but now sticky pistons just push spike blocks)

So they act like cactus but can be placed more freely.
