I call singers like Deborah Cox, Patti Labelle, and Whitney Houston vocal shredders. When they are in good voice they sing so hard, it's as if they are trying to break their vocal cords.

Sometimes they do, because Whitney sounds terrible now. Deborah better watch it. You can't sing this hard forever without damage. At the end of this performance her voice was almost completely gone, except for the screech notes. This is not healthy singing.

I never liked Beyonce's hair. She looks like she was on an 80's episode of Dynasty.  I think Deborah's hair looks fine here. It suits her face and isn't teased out all over the place. She certainly sings better than Beyonce as well and has much prettier legs. While not a major star Deborah has longevity, has been singing over 15 years. 15 years from now Beyonce won't fit through the stage door without greasing her thighs.
