I gave Don Fairbanks the idea to do this... I used to record my flying lessons... and preflight checks. Less than a year later... he appeard in Sporty's first videos. Wonder if Sporty's would honor me by paying for my more advanced helicopter ratings? I still have original video tapes to prove it.
@OneHoof I have my original video tapes of me recording my flight lessons with Don Fairbanks and recording pre-flight checks etc. to prove I inspired this video series. A year later, Don went to Sporty's and they came out with "So You Want to Fly Helicopters" video. No one else had tried to do this and I was also filming the Bell 222 and Hughes 500 at the Jet Center trying to make my own helicopter video series. I can prove it with my video tapes.
I bought those two dvd's and was not too impressed .how it describes sling load and all the stuff on the back of dvd.then you actually watch the dvd and he talked for 20 seconds on-top of building and that was it no footage.I think Sporty s should take it out.
Absolute useless 2:04 minute video.

Don still looks a lot different back then. Today his R22 is gone(he is buying it back) and he doesn't fly much anymore...
