Continued from earlier post; I hope that I have the luck you have had with losing weight. I was pretty much confined to a chair for almost 2 years due to insurance complications; so even though I tried to eat right I still gained about 28 pounds. Hi Marlena, I can sooo relate to you right now. I was sick for a really long time and ended up having to get a complete hystorectomoy. I didn't have quite as long of a insicion but you don't realize howmuch you use your muscles in your abdoman until you have surgery there and have to move. I walked around with a small pillow for about 3 weeks. My husband and son made fun of me because I was decorating our tree for xmas with a pillow tied around my waist. continued on next post....
Me my self would never get surgery but that's my chose but u look amazing any way! I have no reason to judge u because one u made this chose to do this even though u looked beautiful before:) your r such an inspiration

Good for you, Marlena :) I had a breast reduction and lift in 2010 and the recovery is BRUTAL...so I know yours is double difficult. I'm so proud of you and you know what, it's a personal choice and your happiness comes before the opinions of people who don't know you. I hear a regular tummy tuck involves cutting of the muscle and things....i don't think i need that, there's just a tiny bit of skin that hangs over my jeans with icky stretch marks from my babies that i'd like to be rid of. @allysmom01 I'm thinking would get a "mini tummy tuck", but you'd have to ask a surgeon at a consultation. It's like a regular tummy tuck but doesn't extend as wide, and recovery isn't as rough

Did you only have tummy tuck or you also had liposuction? And when you had tummy tuck, were your abdominal muscles (those which can stretch out) sewed together? And finally, what type of breast lift you had - anchor type, circular type or another type? I'm sorry if I'm sounding too nosy, I'm just really interested in all this. Marlena WORKED hard for her money hunny!! that's the only reason she was able to afford such a procedure, and granted it was NOT done out of vanity. She lost the weight properly and sensibly over a wide span of time, which left her with a lot of loose skin. Not her fault.

@sactowncr1minal actually she says that she DID work out, and that is part of how she lost the weight. Just because she rocks and has an amazing job doesn't mean you should be here all jealous and cranky! She lost NINETY POUNDS before her surgery.

Happy recovery Marlena! <3 Glad to hear the surgery was such a success. Here's a question: Do you know if there is such a thing as a skin tuck? I hear a regular tummy tuck involves cutting of the muscle and things....i don't think i need that, there's just a tiny bit of skin that hangs over my jeans with icky stretch marks from my babies that i'd like to be rid of. So i'm wondering if you know anything about a smaller procedure that would fix that. Thanks Marlena!

@allysmom01 I'm thinking would get a "mini tummy tuck", but you'd have to ask a surgeon at a consultation. It's like a regular tummy tuck but doesn't extend as wide, and recovery isn't as rough

When a woman loses this much weight, one of the 1st places women lose weight is in the breasts, so she likely had significant sagging & stretching in that area and needed it removed to make her body more proportioned. Breast augmentation is not simply adding implants, but tightening the skin and raising the nipple to an area that is more appropriate for the high of the breast. .

Did you only have tummy tuck or you also had liposuction? And when you had tummy tuck, were your abdominal muscles (those which can stretch out) sewed together? You look great and like you are still in good spirits! I had a breast reduction 2 years ago and you just brought back a memory LOL It did take time for the swelling to go down and look normal again. I was like are they always going to look cone shaped. I was very discouraged, but it takes a few months. Congrats and you are WONDERFUL!
