  • Thanks so much. Worked perfectly.

  • All I get when i type in the correct pathway in the cmd is an error message saying: Unable to access jarfile. Any idea why?

  • Does this work if I do the same for FRAPS?

  • Thanks! Worked perfectly.

  • My saved games are gone :(

  • @kommer96 That's because you probably aren't the admin of the pc.

  • Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.

  • sk8maniac955@ you need to have the right java for your computer, eg, 32 bit java for a 32 bit computer and 64 bit for a 64 bit computer. mine said this until i realised i had a 64bit computer but had downloaded the 32bit java. it sorted itself out when i re-installed the 64bit java instead.

  • @MintMovieVideos I have a lenovo G770 and this is new so it is surely a 64 bit operating system, anyhow I just installed both versions and No, It WONT FUCKING WORK.

    Help please?

  • @MintMovieVideos This solved my issues. Appreciated information.

  • javaw is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

    ???? can someone please help

  • It only lasts until you exit out of Minecraft, and the next time you open it it is gone.

  • My FPS dropped. :(

  • THANK YOU GOD DAMNIT! :D This works perfectly! Running Minecraft @ 6 GIG Ram @ 240 fps With Shaders and Misas Texturepack! :D

  • Is it possible to allocate 1536mb?

    Thanks!

  • Cannot access jar file?

  • @xXRaikumanXx mine says that to

  • I'd take the bacon.

  • if you get the cannot create java virtual machine error, it's because you didn't type the command right. you have to do it EXACTLY like he did in the video.

  • I only have 64 bit java, but I still get the java virtual machine business. Any clues as to why?

  • seems legit

  • says can not access jar file

  • For me I can log in but it doesnt have any of my saved worlds and when I exit out all the ram goes away

  • it says for me cannot access minecraft.exe java file inbox me PLEASE

  • @TheTTMusketeers me too wtf?

  • Works perfectly find for me...

  • It's telling me javaw is not a recognized command.

  • it doesnt open my minecraft help!

  • So I get the 'cannot create the virtual' thing how do I fix it?

  • Hmm I seem to be having the same problem as others in this thread, I have 32bit java and a 64bit windows 7 and when I allocate whatever ram to minecraft it never actually allocates it

  • @mrpalmzerfaust when I hit f3 to find out how much ram minecraft is using it always says less than a gig even if i told it to allocate much more....help? do it need 64bit java?

  • i need help. it says that i only have 247mb of ram on minecraft but i have 4gb on my computer. when i type in this code it doesn't do anything. i have a 32bit windows vista computer. does anyone have a solution.

  • @BestsGameplay Same here

  • Unable to access jarfile (the location). Help please!

  • hey guys doing this works for people that it didn't work for message me i can really help you

    What do?

  • @narutorocke75 Same here , Invalid or corrupt file

  • Thanks! worked like a charm.

  • @antruler12 try using less ram it said the same error for me but i lowerd the ram amount and it worked

  • could not create java virtual machine help

  • this worked! thank you! but my FPS was a good steady 90-100, but when i did this, it runs at around 15-30

  • I did everything exact but nothing happens when i hit enter

  • couldn't create java virtual machine, what do i do?

  • @ricebix You don't have enough RAM to run the game. If you only have 4 GB of RAM and you set up the java code to run at 8 your computer won't start up the program. A different way then what TheDigitalZebra did to show how much RAM you have is to go into Start (Windows) Right click Computer and select properties. It will show how much you have there. So if you have 8 GB of RAM try 7 or 6.

  • @CrEePeRgOnNaCrEeP1 I have 4gig and i was only trying to use 3

  • :D just installed 8 GB of ram must do this

  • unable to access jar file plz halp

  • Mine said 'javaw' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

:( anyone know how to help?

  • @JebusZenMaster You probably have the wrong version of Java. Same thing happened to me and I found out I 32-bit java with 64-bit windows. Just make sure they're the same bit count.

  • @JebusZenMaster I have the same problem :(

  • mine says couldnt create java virtual machine

  • does this also increase FPS?

  • my CMD says it doesnt recognize javaw or java when i hit enter

  • mine says invalid or corupt jarfile

  • @160randomguy YOU MUST BE THE ADMIN OF THE PC!!!!!!!!!

  • @Th3CaZeD I also got the invalid or corrupt jarfile and I am using the only administrator account. Any more advice?

  • Mine says 'javaw' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

    Help D:

  • @iPwnUNewbiesCA delete the w

  • @gpoquiztube never mind

  • @iPwnUNewbiesCA You need to navigate to your javaw.exe directory. Just search for it.

  • @RMYEpic what do you mean because im getting the same problem :L

  • when i hit enter in cmd my minecraft doesnt open :s

  • Thx alot dude!

  • Thanks very much!!!!

  • Thanks!

  • I've downloaded It, now how Do I fix?

  • Dang, downloaded both of them ages ago.

  • this video is bullshit iv done everything you have done multiple times and covering everything and everytime i get "Javaw is not recognised as ......" i even got a new processor to do this and i still cant you mate, can go fuck yourself

  • @Jamierulez4ever That is possibly the stupidest thing I have ever seen on this website. The processor has nothing to do with this, this is making it so you have more RAM allocated for running minecraft.

  • Comment removed

  • When I put more RAM it just uses 10% of it or not all of it why?

  • @MultiSubscribed Minecraft uses more ram if it needs it, this is just allocating more ram incase it needs more.

  • My cmd says javaw is not recognised as internal or external command, operable progame or batch file. And it says to all commands i tries to enter, so i guess something is wrong with it, can you help me out?

  • @ArnasRukse Try just java

  • I have a problem when I press Enter on CMD It shows me an error:

    Unable to access jarfile C\Users\****\Desktop\Minecraft.exe

    Any Help

  • Taskbar at the top FTW :D

  • yes it works

  • @TheDigitalZebra Every time I launch it, it says:

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

  • thanx it worked :) !!!

  • when i try to run it on CMD it says could not acces jar. file plz help any1?

  • I Have 32 bit java for 64 bit pc. what ido?

  • @zPwnedGaming install 64 java.

  • says 'javaw' is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file

  • please help it says unable to access jar file!!!

  • how the hell do i find my pc's name?

  • it can't accses my minecraft :(

  • what if u have 32 bit java and 64 bit PC?

  • @MultiFOOTBALLS get 64 bit java :PPPP

  • @NHSufi i know but then how to run minecraft 64 bit java ????

  • @MultiFOOTBALLS just run it, and it'll be 64 bit

  • Thanks so much, this really helped, I can now record on fancy and everything with fraps. Well, it didn't help my frames, but it bumped them up when playing on fancy at least.

  • Keeps on saying "could not find the java virtual machine"

    PLEASE HELP

  • worked perfect

  • Still can't put on any texture packs 256 or above. It's FUCKING PISSING ME OFF. I have 16GB of RAM and an amazing GPU so WTF is the problem....

  • @SoftScopeLoudShot You probably don't have HD Texture support. Get MCPatcher and install HDTextures and HDText. Or install them separately.

  • @SoftScopeLoudShot Its not your ram its your CPU... minecraft is a CPU based game it dont matter how much ram you allocate... it wont speed up unless your CPU is the shit!

  • @J0ShuWaa If you have a half way decent computer and run texture packs then not only can this speed up your minecraft game, but it may actually be necessary

  • Comment removed

  • Very, very good tutorial, Brandon :)) Thanks a lot :D

  • GUYS!! Listen i found a new easy way to do all this in less then 5 min okay

first you need to download mcpatcher u know the program u use to have hd texture packs.

ok once ur done open it go to options under general options ---> java heap size insert the number of MB u want ur minecraft to run ex 1000 (DO NOT PUT MB AT THE END OF IT!)

then simply click test minecraft then VUALA! click f3 and ul see the result

    PLEASE LIKE!!

  • @flames706 Thanks that helped loads.

  • when i copied it at cmd and pressed enter, i got: Unable to access the jarfile '' C:\Users\Taha\Desktop\games\Minecraft.exe''

    whats the problem?!?!

  • when i did the CMD bit, it said that javaw isn't a command

  • i have 8gb ram I allocated 4 which should be plenty and i still lag if im not on tiny someone help me

  • @omop413

Sounds like you have a crappy graphics card like intel HD 3000. change your graphics properties on your computer to performance.

  • javaw is not recognised as an internal or external command

  • @2112ams what do i do?

  • Same message for me

  • @zakokiller if your running 32 bit java you can only allocate a maximum of 1 gigabyte.

  • If you don't want to have to copy and paste everything each time you start minecraft, go into your text file with the command saved, then go to file, click save as, then save it as (Anything).bat and then it should make an icon on your desktop you can click each time :)

  • Can not create the java vitual machine :(

  • nuice but, but!! how can i get 2 rams? it only with start with 1 ram but dont with 2 rams! :(

  • i get about 80 Fps with Fancy, Normal, Smooth Lighting etc. But i get stuttering. Does anyone know how to stop it?

  • mine says javaw is not a reconized as an interneal or external command operable program or bach file

  • it give me an error. "Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine." "Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit."

    Any idea?

  • soo your name is brandon ?

  • How do I make it use more memory? This allocates it, but I'm having like 8 FPS and it's only using like 10% of my allocated memory. :(

  • @shasow33 8 fps, same like me.

    we have same bad computers

  • @Bimosaurs I don't have a bad computer. Acer Aspire 7750G-6662, look it up on Google. Should be able to play Minecraft perfectly. I don't usually get 8 FPS. When I open the game, it's like at 40 FPS, and then it drops down as I play. At around 10 or so minutes in, it goes down in FPS a lot. But as I change the graphics settings (any setting at all, even if it's turning the settings up) my FPS goes back up to ~40. Stupid OpenGL...

  • @shasow33 so its only me --"

  • What do I do if I get the "could not create the Java virtual machine" error.

I understand what it means, but how do I fix it?

  • it works. But could someone explain in more detail on how to make it permanent?

  • I get

    Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx7168M

The specified size exceeds the maximum representable size.

Could not create the Java virtual machine.

    Could anyone help me please

  • @GamingwithHammond you dont have 7 gigs of ram on your computer

  • Said could not access jar file... please help!!! D:

  • Comment removed

  • bullshit.

  • NO no no...

You need to create a TXT file... put this in: Javaw -Xmx2048m -Xms1024m -jar "C:\Users\+++\Desktop\Minecraft.exe"

(change The Xmx and the Xms)

Save the TXT and remanme whit a .bat at the end. (Not .txt put .bat)

Then Double click in bat no in minecraft...

  • 'javaw' is not recognized as an internal or external command

    wtf?

  • @MrXtremeHuhn same issue let me know if you sort it

  • @2112ams got it fixed. for me it was because i had java runtime 6. i installed java runtime 7 and the problem was solved :)

  • @MrXtremeHuhn It's got nothing to do with Java runtime. I have runtime 7 and it still says the same thing.

  • Comment removed

  • @ytfmichaelxu well it worked for me... hope you can fix it anyway :)

  • It says " could not create the java virtual machine"... what does that mean? and how do i fix it?

  • Comment removed

  • It doesnt work for cracked minecrafts right? :L

  • @SuperEagles97 Ofcourse it does; This is just allocating the Executable/Minecraft more memory then it tells itself it is allowed; Therefore it will. Just like it would work with PRETTY MUCH anything.

  • My name is also Brandon!

  • Im runnign Windows 7 64 bit. my RAM is 4gigs. I put this in running only java 64 bit version. and i got no increase in allocated RAM.im running it from program files (x86). would that matter? also every time i open the .bat file it says some sort of error.

  • it said failed to create java virtual machine. PLS HELP

  • THANK YOU FINALLY MY MINECRAFT DOSENT SUCK

  • I did everything you did. I have 3gb and i still have 3fps Please help me ASAP!!

  • @rodneykyle69 If you use 3GB to run minecraft and you only have 3GB it wont work because you need Ram to run all of your other stuff so if you have 3GB Ram i would do 2GB Ram Unless you have a Notebook then it needs ram for the Graphics because a Notepad doesn't have graphics card so if your Notepad 1GB is the way to go... Hope this helped... -----------JkFlame-----------

  • what if it says "Invalid or or corrupt jarfile". tried getting it up to 4gigs, i have 16 gigs of ram total so i don't get why i have the "memory" crash.

  • @thefudgestix I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE.. "Invalid or corrupt jarfile C:\Users\****\Desktop\minecraftSP.exe"

  • @FusionSempai its javaw -Xmx2048m -Xms1024m -jar "C:\Users\Your computer name\Desktop\minecraft.exe" no SP...

  • @FusionSempai I found out how to fix it. find and download minecraftsp.jar

got it from this link, then download the .bat file from that link too. Worked for me, i don't get the opening error either anymore ^^.

    /watch?v=xy4mAfacJck

  • It keeps saying " javaw is not recognized as an internat or external command, operable program or batch file " What do i do?!?!?

  • ok i got the "unable to access jarfile C:\Users\+++\Desktop\Minecraft.exe" error and i did everything exactly the same i only used 1gb not 3gb

  • @11111m12 You need to put in your pc name where the +++ is...

  • run this as a bat file ok

    "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar minecraft.exe

this works for 64bit only (chage the numbers to as much ram as you want to allocate)

also place this in the same folder as your minecraft.exe.

then run it then minecraft will launch ok cool

  • THIS WORKS IF YOU HAVE THE SAME NUMBER FOR XMX AND XMS

  • thanks!

  • doesnt work, made mine lag more

  • I was starting to lag when i used it :(

  • I need some help, i get hs err pid on startup in minecraft any help?

  • thanks, works perfectly :)

  • is this videocard ram or just ram?

  • Lol does not work.
