I don't know how for sure about both your answers, but since it is a world phone, I guess that means it works on both 3g and WiFi. Also, it should connect to any router. If the iPod touch can connect to any router, this phone can definitely do it. So don't worry about that part.
is the finger sensor for security and privacy measures? so you can't use someones lg expo unless the user slides their finger on the sensor? so nosey people won't be able to see through your stuff basically
Hmm I will say the expo 2 because is cheaper and it has better specs than the Tilt2 and the Pure - especially the processor. I am pretty sure this phone will also be upgradable to windows mobile 7 as it has what it takes to run it, but that will be on LG and ATT's call. in relation to post, the expo has better chances of being a music phone than the HTC's ones on ATT. I am waiting for it to get in shelves to play with it... this phone should have been there before Christmas.
And by the way, you can get this phone with service at Amazon for $99.00. They will also give you the activation for free ($36 value) and a $50 gift card on top of that. That would makes the total cost of the phone only $13, with a 2 year contract. You can go for the lowest with is $69.99 which comes around $87 dollars per month after taxes. Taxes vary per state :S
@ rexatar from what I understand two things can happen depending on the sales agent and the point of sale:
(1) they won't let you leave the store without a data plan; that is, they basically won't sell you the phone.
(2) AT&T will detect by some mechanisms that you have a locked smartphone that does not have a data plan and will ask you to add one or they will suspend service to the sim card you just popped. AT&T is pretty serious about their service plan.
From the software side, the only thing that worries me is 7:40 . Say, if I get Opera Mobile or Opera Mini, I won't be able to use it in landscape mode and profit from the full Qwerty? or what about other apps like games or IM (Live Messenger, Yahoo, etc).
does the phone come with the stylus? Also, does the phone have flash? does the phone have a little hole to put the stylus in kind of like the nintendo ds or do u just have to hold the stylus?
Yes, come with Stylus. It looks like a lipstick and it can't be attached to the device. Rumor has it the reason why the style is not attachable was that the phone was destined to sport Windows 7 which is fully finger-friendly but its release has been delayed ( so they added the Stylus).
I think the phone has Flash Lite 3.1. It does not have desktop-like flash (only the Nokia N900 up to this day).
You can't. Even if you pay for the phone sans contract, you are obliged to have a data plan. AT&T won't even allow you to run the phone with a GoPhone card (that is what the Store agent told me when I got my Tilt2). But, I feel pretty good about AT&T's 3G - at least on my area it is competent.
Can you change the wallpaper?

If you mean Flash camera, it does have flash.

By the way the device has Java, so you can also use the awesome Opera Mini 5 ( I prefer it over Opera MObile 10 - it is awesome !!! )

The Fingerprint reader works really well. The setting for this are in the Phone settings.

can you do a screen size comparison between this phone and the iphone or any other touchscreen phone
IsabellaSalvatierra 2 years ago
I might do this in a next video. The screen is very vibrant and has better resolution compared to the iPhone
mobilityminded 2 years ago
hey, could you comment on they keyboard a little?
also maybe show it open some applications in standard WM, such as google maps.. skype.. to see how fast it loads.
also how is the battery life? 3hrs as it claims seems wayyy too low for 1500mah
will it be possible to install custom roms?
cenkaetaya1 2 years ago
I lreally do like the keyboard. it feels comfortable and not cramped up.
Custo Rom's, we'll have to see, however AT&T has an update application build in.
In a next video I will show the start up of a installed program or IE
