I was there! I don't think they were opening for the Beat. although they were touring with them at the time. I think it was a promo gig during spring break. (It may just be that I left before the English Beat.)
Never mind the English Beat. I would have gone just to see REM. And why does the cameraman keep showing keep showing the parking lot and the audience? I need more Bill!
Man, this is classic! I stayed at the Plaza hotel that year for Spring Break. I missed this show by days!
