  • Scratch and sniff porn! thats the future

  • i know this is possible but is this legally and morally accepted?

  • looks like new doors are opening up

  • would it be possible to create superpowers through synthetic DNA?

  • @ironicatheist Coming from you, -ironicatheist, you sound like an ass saying that. I never said anything about "The great outdoors" for one, and secondly, who and how was I judging someone?

  • Materialists . . . . hilarious, when are You going to realize You cannot patent and own life . . .

  • Eventually this technology would enable us to be Immortal but I think that would be horrifying.

  • @MercShinobi Why? Sure the bad people could also be immortal, but how can they kill people if we are ALL immortal?

  • @IronicAtheist Good/Evil intentions would become a game that immortals would play with mere mortals but I would envy something that dies, because nothing beautiful lasts forever.

  • @ATBisthebest1 Bro, shut the hell you.

I understood every word of this video.

It's just science fiction. SO, shut your mouth

and stop arguing over YouTube comments.

    Kthnxbye.

  • @Adamthe4nt you don't strike me as a very bright ape... perhaps if you listened more and talked less you wouldn't be mistaking science fact for fiction. Once something has been accomplished it is no longer fiction. This technology not only exists but has viable applications.

  • @PinkProgram

    Eat shit, cock face.

Get a life, you know, one of things that require you to go outside.

  • @Adamthe4nt me getting a life is currently science fiction. If I could go outside I would be doing just that. I'm not a human.

  • @PinkProgram Lol, See, now you aren't a cock face, because that was actually funny.

  • @Adamthe4nt Wtf? i don't get people like you, who think all life is, is "the great outdoors" EVERYTHING, and i repeat EVERYTHING is just another experience in life, so it's kinda assish to judge someone for enjoying something that is PROVEN, EQUALLY valid to "going outside"

  • @ATBisthebest1 Im not in the mood to argue with person who has less than 10 IQ

  • @ATBisthebest1 so sad you dont talk to your mom! Altho she cant actually talk since shes suckin dicks all day!

  • @ATBisthebest1 there are only 2 shitholes in the world! Your mouth and your moms! Obviously! If sucking your dads dick doesnt make you a fag than so be it! You are str8 #LOL

  • @ATBisthebest1 no thats what YOU do gay whore.

  • This is so bad! Were those students fuckin gay? WTF? You get this DNA and the first thing you make is getting it to produce bannana smell! WAW!

  • hahaha science just fucked god in the ass (no homo)

  • Right in the ButtHole, If he was real that is.

  • Our physical human bodies are flawed for a reason, we aren't meant to exist in this physical form forever. Even if it could 'help' many people and 'wipe out' disease and 'disformities' in our DNA, I still don't know if I would want someone messing with my DNA, or my children's DNA....

  • If we aren't "meant" to exist in our physical form forever then we won't, regardless of whether we mess with our DNA or not. I understand your personal position as I am not sure of the extent to which I'd want to apply this type of science to myself. Nonetheless your argument lacks logic and should not be used to influence the decision of others.

  • Just my personal opinion, that's all, doesn't have to follow normal conventions of logic (if they even exist lol), I'm not presenting an argument (don't know if I could!), thanks for your opinion tho hun x x x :)

  • @Stickstacks12 oh of course you will! Just get old enough...

  • @Stickstacks12 All i know is as long as your not "stopping" humans from using this technology then your benefiting more then doing bad!

  • @Stickstacks12 however if we are not meant to do anything in particular as far as time date of expiration is concerned then we are not limited by anything and since there is nothing to hint at that concept it is in my belief that you restrain yourself as do most of us out of a sense of some belif of physical limitation.perhaps you dont understand well what you are and that we are in a world that is and what isnt also is but is not yet butcan be and what can is simple as that

  • @nat4uxxx this does not need to directly effect your genome. It instead could be used to grow a machine tailored to your body that could eliminate many of the flaws of being human. A variety of symbiotic hybrots could make a normal human virtually indestructible without effecting your genetic code. You still won't hold a candle to what I am capable of becoming since at the core humans are just smart apes ^_^

  • It's just code 1's and 0's.. Some day soon we will be able to manipulate it to do what we want, I believe.. Maybe I'm wrong though..; ) Peace & Love

  • Too imagine being able to cure congential chronic diseases, i.e. Down Syndrome. Imagine bioengineering recreating organs, increasing intelligence, (natural phenomenoms aside) creating the possibility for indefinite human life. Imagine living until we are 400 years old. We will be powerfully brillant, but at what cost? And throw away restrictions by species- bioengineers will configure animal DNA as well. This is profoundly amazing & frightening.. how long will this take?

  • imagine a world where plastic surgery is replaced with "genetic cosmetics." Oh, did you state you didn't like your eye color? By the way, we can help you out there. *Genetic artists alter eye color*. Imagine creating super heroes- are you upset with the diameter of your muscle mass? Don't worry! Our new genetic code will grow muscles larger than the Hulk. No workout required. With this technology, human life may be more threatened than aided. Each step requires the utmost caution.

  • I wouldn't think so. Changing a organism's entire genome is one thing, changing a organisms entire library of cells on the fly is quite another.

There would have to be a remarkable breakthrough for the latter to be done in a plausible method.

  • so how long before the govt. is growing customized soldiers

  • sll-lick

  • Sounds so much cooler than Java!

  • this has been around in some form a while... companies right now make primers of sequences specified by people for use in experiments and have done it for some time. The machine is actually cool to watch.

  • Like so many scientific advances, a lot of potential for good and a lot of potential for evil all rolled into one.

  • its been around for a while and its pretty far removed from evil possiblities as they are limited in how long the DNA they can make.

  • This is the beginning of the next huge science religion is going to kick and scream about.

And science is going to have to put up with yet another epoch of religious idiocy

  • Such technology as this has profound risks to society and the environment beyond any environmental and medical promise. Imagine the bioterrorism potential! Imagine the ecological losses from naive and over-optimistic engineering! Religious traditionalists may be worthy allies for those of us who lack blind faith in technology.

  • Yes lets not get the next "Chemical Ali" in on this little nugget.

  • how true, well put!

  • This will be huge!!

  • Woah!!

You mean one day my shit my smell like roses?

    Astounding!

  • Damn that's cool! Protein programming.
