Dear pcmcdonald1, Please don't forget that the Dems were the majority for a good part of Bush's presidency. Many conveniently forget that fact. Doug is right on target. Obama is rather like a petulant child, never willing to face up to the fact that he is at fault. BTW, the unemployment rate is much higher at the state level. Nevada is at 22.3. Quite different from 9.6. N'est-ce pas?

Why don't you let Mr. Wead speak instead of rewriting history with your misrepresentations of facts. The economic mess is the direct result of Bush policies, and President Obama inherited a mess. He did his best, given Republican opposition in Congress to stimulate the economy, and it worked -- somewhat. If he hadn't, unemployment would be above 12% instead of 9.6.

Ohh that nagging historical perspective... seems we could know much in advance if we would just learn the lessons from the history books. We could have predicted 2 years ago where the "hope and change" message would take us.
