Hi Ben, let me teach you the KL version of cool, sick, sweet, etc. :D

One of the common slang is "chun", pronounced "ch-oon". Example: "Kereta tu(itu) chun" = That car is cool.

There are other close synonyms to "chun" such as "gempak", "style", "mantap", etc. Malaysian ppl, pls help if I left out anything :P

Ok, now I'm gonna teach the "emphasizer". Example in US, there is sick, and there is sick-ass. Ass is the emphasizer. :D In Malaysia there is also a similar word to that.

@ayam85 We use the word "gila" as an emphasizer. "Gila" by its own means crazy, but when coupled with another word, works as an emphasizer. For example: "Awek tu chun" = That girl is pretty. Or "Awek tu chun gila!" = That girl is hot!! (or really pretty) :D

Or you can think of it as, that girl is pretty like crazy.

It can also be applied to other adjectives, like "cantik gila" or "besar gila" or "kecik gila" or "mahal gila". But pls keep in mind that this usage is a slang, not for formal chats.
