Yup. 2D means Two Dimensions. Look at those building do they seem 2d? Are they just squares? No they are cubes cuz the camera is a bit angled to the side.

it's not 2d isometric. games like simcity 3000 is 2d isometric, this is a 3d game with the camera angled above. it's awesome though and i'll be getting it on the weekend
