What breed are the fellas? I love the little white spots! I have a brown (green egg-laying) Araucana and a Barred Plymouth Rock.

just for helpfull device the straw can give your chickens leg mites
I'm new to chickens and it souds like you are experienced. I'm concerned about dealing with chicken poop in the coop. What is the best way to keep coop poop under control?

I designed their coop like a giant bird cage so the bottom slides out. I can clean it much easier that way. The hay helps absorb moisture.

I wound up collecting huge bags of leaves and tossing them into the run. This should also produce a lot of great compost.
Ya gotta love those chickens!
Thank you. That kind of advice is very valuable for a chicken owner.
