went to school with both of them. i remember them singing in talent shows in school. i have the very first single they put out. loved them then and still do. the first record was signed by both of them and given to my Aunt from their mom.
I played basketball against these two guys after they played in a local concert back when this song was out. They were pretty good basketball players. The one in the orange shirt is about 6'6" - played for about two hours after their concert and had a great time.
This should have been the Song of the Year. It has the best lyrics, best arrangement, best vocals and the Ellis Brothers are definitely better than not only Brooks and Dunn but 90% of the talent in Nashville.
And they have more stage presence and class than 90% of the groups in country music.
Okay, so the video is only fair but the Ellis Brothers are great.
I wish they would get back together. Country music needs someone to rescue itself again the way Randy Travis did back in the 80s.
