We know for a fact that atoms are destined to bond with specific atoms to form various molecules. Do we really need to emphasize that those things happen by "accident"? Can we use other term more suitable than that, like "tendency" or probability? Life exist in our planet because its chemical composition has the highest tendency or probability for molecules to assemble into living organism.

I hope they do it because they feel that, somewhere, something is 'off' about religion, and they're trying to 'break free', as it were, from a life of indoctrination. However, unfortunately I have not seen much evidence of this, rather idealistic, way of looking at things.

@coolvideo28 evolution doesnt cover the origin of life, only the origin of species, abiogenesis is what you are thinking of, which is still quite possible and the strongest theory we have so far, the big bang is another one of the strongest theories in science that is supported by the COBE mission, expanding universe etc. etc. you have oversimplified and in some cases outright lied, nobody except creationists say everything just appeared, and the big bang was not an explosion, your turn...
