@12gloom They like the heat that builds up on the road.You know when you see them out basking on rocks..same thing only they dont know what a road is and end up getting run over
@12gloom yah scottishbadboytracks is rite, but you`d think that a turtle that is probably around 10 yrs old like that one would be smart enough to find a rock! Or it was a female that was going to lay eggs!?
I've done that myself helping a turtle across the street and I seen people try to deliberately hit it. Thank you for having a heart for animals. That turtle is probably 10 years old and is gentle
@zezimars23 Thanks! I was scared that it had got hit! When we first drove by it wasn`t moving so i wasnt sure what i was gonna see when i turned around to go back!

why do these turtles get on the road? i have seen some IN THE MIDDLE of the road when I was driving. I dont understand these turtles.
