i think breastfeeding a baby over six months old is weird and there is most likely an issue with the mother.

WHAT?!?! it is recomended to breastfeed a baby to 12 months ? how is there something wrong with the mother if they brestfeed a baby past 6 months whats your problem? my baby is 10 months old and I still breastfeed him!

I posted this video on youtube to show support for women who want to breastfeed their babies past a year. I know the critisizm that comes along with it so I knew posting this would generate both positive and negative comments. I am fine with it, I am a big girl and believe that people are entitled to their own opions. However, I don't understand why if someone doesn't agree with it why they are looking for it on youtube to watch.

I wish breastfeeding had been more successful for me. I want to breastfeed my next one until they're 2. This is beautiful; I don't understand how anyone could be offended by something as simple and natural as breastfeeding.

Good luck with your next one. I am still nursing my 2 1/2 year old. I never would have thought I would breastfeed this long before I thought of having her. My Aunt breastfed all three of her children until they self weaned at 4 and I thought that was "gross" now, with 4 not so far off I don't see it the same way. I think it has a lot to do with ignorance. When someone hasen't been through something they feel a certain way until they've experienced it themselves. It's sad really.

well done for still feeding. i hate people who are so ignorant! its the most natural thing in the world. my son is 8 months and i am still feeding him and hope to carry on till hes over a year. they get loads of nutrition from it. Breast is best!

i just wanted to tell you a bit of advice you should not breastfeed a baby that can talk because then the baby may repeat stuff when he/she goes to school i just wanted to give you a tip

that's not a "tip". older nursing children that can understand simple language (um pretty much all kids) can be helped to understand that they call it by a secret name or ask for it when they are at home but don't not to around talking about booby milk in kindergarten. Sorry you must be misinformed about extended nursing.

My 7 month old plays games while we nurse as well. Like the foot thing, she'll want me to grab it and shake it, she gets the beiggest kick out of it. And Im just starting to get the hang of nursing her in her sling. She enjoys smiling at people with my nipple in her mouth- makes me blush but I dont mind!

I love the nursing games too! And the smile with the nipple in the mouth is sooo precious. My daughter will be 18 months next week and was playing with my nipple and just started laughing hysterical and I looked down and she had squirted herself in the face. It was soo funny and cute. Good job on the sling, I never got the hang of it, she couldn't get comfortable. I guess I started using it to late.

My parents tell me she's too old because she's starting to play while she nurses, but I find it so much more fun! And she pets my arm and touches my face. Such sweet little gestures.

She's squirt herself in the face too. She's never laughed at it yet, she just sort of looks at me like "What was that?!" And she'll have droplets of my milk all over her face. Its so precious though. Breastfeeding is so rewarding, I fully plan to let her self-wean herself. =]

I had to stop putting my Breastfeeding videos up because my Mother In Law looks at these to see how Mirabelle is growing and she got way to offended at the breastfeeding videos and has stopped speaking to me because I am still breastfeeding. Oh well, I know it's best for my daughter and will let her self wean as well.

I love the games as well and I enjoy now that she is older she can climb on my lap herself and pull my shirt up or down herself, it's very cute and rewarding!

I hate how people can be so offended by breastfeeding an older child. Im already starting to recieve negative comments and my daughters not even 8 months yet! My daughter likes to think that if Im topless she must be nursing. So shes climb all over me to get to the breast of her choice, and switch between the two... She must conquer them! Its too funny...

That is so sad, and that is why people stop to early. People feel the need to give their opinions about everything and something as important and special as a Mother and child's nursing relationship is really nobody's business! I found that the ones with the most opinions are ones who have not breastfed a child.

I feel the same way about mine, that she must conquer them..hehe. They are too cute!
