Props to that girl! I mean really, tossing a rifle over a frame while jumping through it. Flag chicks are tough, they beat themselves with 6 foot metal poles in practice, or a block of wood shaped like a rifel, or a sabre.

in my openion... they did a great job... it is much harder to perform infront of your school than it is to perform at a guard competition...

and maggielovesgod2 I would think that you were from our guard with the way you are talking... we had a girl that came into guard her 12th grade year and she was in cheerleading and poms for the most of her life... and said guard was by far... much much harder...

Great recovery!!! I hope that person was ok!! Great Routine! Only stupid cheerleaders get to do stuff like that in my school. In my opinion guard can be a lot harder and more work than most cheerleading. But we are considered nerds and not given enough credit.

Same here. Actually, at our assemblies, we just get a long ass list of the football players names read and then we leave. My school only likes athletics, not the arts. It's so sad. They cut winterguard out of the budget this year too. :(

The funny thing with my school is that the football team NEVER wins, but last year the marching band went undefeated. We won every single competition, but yet football is more important...

I hate that! In my area, the finals consist of 7 bands, and 6 usually make it each year because they are the biggest and make more of an impression. Last season, my band made finals for the first time in a while, and didn't even get a "good job" over the intercom. I swear, we aren't given enough credit. (Oh well, at least we know how amazing it is)
