  • Hello all, I am interested to know if anyone here has any info on this matter: Estelle Bennett ( of The Ronettes) has a close relation and association to singing on Teddy Vann produced songs. Does anyone know who is singing lead on this track, if it is in fact Estelle Bennett (RIP) or is it maybe a falsetto guys voice, which it sounds like.. hmmm, i wonder.

  • @MissyMagical Nah it's a woman "should i try to pretend He's just another friend"

"Should i tell Him how i feel that my heart is like a wheel"

And the guy talking to her in the break !

    Seals it for me !

  • that voice just hits the spot beautiful

  • Top Quality Big Played Class Sound ! Similar Backings & Brakes - Laure Greene, Moonlight Music & You...?....

    Gaz *

  • Sublime vocal !

  • Great soul. Superb Gypsy Violin Break. Reminds me of the one in 'Please Stay' - By The Ivorys.

  • Originally reeased in UK on the Philips Label as the B side to I Only Have Eyes For You in 1967. Re-Released in 1974 on Pye International as the A side with Goodbye Love,Hello Sadness.

  • This song was huge in the East Falls Project in the 60's.

  • Jerry Blavat played this a lot down Philly/Camden but it never made the New York air waves. The flip side(Goodbye Love,Hello Sadness) was a decent slow jam as the group does its best imitation of Smokey Robinson & Miracles.Blavat was famous for playing "B"sides but i don't remember if he played this one.On the Calla record label!

  • love this , it takes me right back

  • This was the very first record i bought way back in 1978, what lovely memories
