Shouldnt rovers have some sort of tank wheel contraption? It is more maneuverable. Or is there already something like that? This series was made in the 80's after all.

We look at a colony of ants, and marvel at their little lines and rows of gatherers. (sometimes placing a stick in the way to see what happens)
But we are no different, we are a collective, our genetic stream flowing through time and space, mixing and remixing, consciousness dieing and being reborn as something different.
For some reason this insults the ego of religionists.
i find it depressing to think that all there is to an animal or human is molecules....
although I think it depresses millions or billions of people today, it means that i am no different than a rock.... the most sensible thing for me to do is to have fun, couse when im dead, its all over (is the motto of most people)....
in the future the people wil either realise that there really is no reason to do anything other than try to make ourselves feel good, or maybe contiousness does live on
simply amazing...one of the greatest sci series arround.And i'm watching it (now the 5th episode,obviously) for the first time! (in the sense i never watched it before a few days ago)
