Sonu Nigam can't match their octave. That's the only reason he didn't sing. Btw Sonu has different background from these two singer. Rahat and Saleem, both sings more of sufi stuffs which is why they are comfortable at higher pitch, especially Rahat.

@ravipowar, if you think Rafi sahib could not hit high notes, I'd suggest you listen to some of his songs first before expressing such uninformed opinion. Take a hint, just listen to 'O duniya ke rakhwale'. Indeed Rafi Sahib and Kishore da could hit very high notes. Qawali is a different genre and yet Rafi Sahib and Kishore da sang filmi qawalis and they did superb. Sonu ji and the current crop of singers do not comapre to those giants.
