I mean..this is alright, I guess..something to entertain you for a few minutes..but that's all. There's no lasting appeal, no reason to do all that setup to sit there and watch a tiny mirror reflect a laser. Nice try, interesting for a minute, but not all that great in the long run.

Just wondering, can you see the actual beam from the core in certain conditions?

Yeah you can! I got mine yesterday and i loved it, its really high quality, the case looks cool, and it comes with an owner's guide which is also cool, and at night you can see the beam pretty easily, but its not that bright and you cant turn off street lights with it, anything above 15mw and the beam is easily seen, so go ahead and buy it!
