My wolf eliminator was working great for a while (several months), but then last night something "happened." In quotes because nothing actually happened to the instrument but I suddenly have a scritch-scratch rattling sound which becomes more pronounced the closer I play to the bridge.
My question is twofold: Do wolf eliminators generally poop out this quickly? Do I need to replace it? Does anyone ever use two wolf eliminators at at time?
Do you have a video on how to put set up a cello bridge? I ordered a cello online and the it comes with the bridge off so I have to put it on myself. There isn't any stores that specializes in orchestra instruments here so I'm alone on this. )':
@TheSophiaBear The best thing to do would be to take the cello to your teacher, and orchestra director, or a local shop if you're concerned at all about putting the bridge up yourself. That said, if you are doing this yourself, put the bridge in the correct spot, and hold it in place with light tension on the two outside strings. Then slowly increase the tension on all 4 strings, one at a time, a little at a time. Make sure the bridge does not start to lean or move as you tighten.
is this the same cello she used in the others? what is the name of it and the 2 dark cellos right behind her. Are the being sold online at shar? can u please give me the names because i am looking for a cello right now and maybe if i can do a home in-trial?
@Tylkem24 To be honest, we usually just grab a random cello when filming, so I'm not completely sure. I do believe Laurel is playing on a Lamberti cello, and I think the middle cello in the front row is a Bergonzi. I'd recommend giving us a call to set up a trial, and mention this video to the rep who answers.
what Cello are you playing, im looking for a new one too! and the dark cello behind you in between the light one in the front row! Are both these cellos online? because i really think there pretty!
can you completely eliminate the wolf tone with the wolf tone eliminator? or you just end up moving the wolf tone to a different place? and/or minimizing it?
So that's what a wolf tone sounded like.

I love it. I made a tune about Bach's equal tempered keyboard, the Wolf Note.

That really depends on the cello. You can minimize the wolf as well as move it, usually to the point that it isn't noticeable anymore.
