  • where can you buy it? i cant find it anywhere on the internet!

  • @GuitarLord3000 I bought mine from The Music Emporium in Bellmore, NY. I'm pretty sure that Musician's Friend (online) carries them too...

  • Let me clear up the veneer question once and for all. The Les Paul Tribute Plus has a maple cap. As stated on the Epiphone web site,

    "SPECIFICATIONS

    Body Material: mahogany

    Top Material: Carved Hard maple

    Neck: mahogany"

  • @Farbocaster epiphone com/Products/Les-Paul/Tribute-Les-Paul-Standard aspx

(Put the dots in the spaces)

  • it HAS a veneer...all of them have....

  • @NU9 It has a maple cap. I can see it clearly when I look at the cutaway. It may not be as thick as an Gibson Les Paul, but it is a cap nonetheless.

  • @Farbocaster Yes it has that, I can see it on mine too, but it has a veneer on top of it - look closer - all Epiphones have veneers, except for the plain top elitists MIJ. Both the back and the top have veneers.

  • @NU9 I quoted the Epiphone web site above. The Les Paul Tribute plus has a carved hard maple top. No mention of veneer.

  • @NU9 You can call the folks up themselves... it's a solid maple cap. They don't advertise it as a veneer therefore, it has to be. The only reason why they are able to afford this is that the QC is a little less consistent. Veneers just make all tops look "AAA" grade. Some of these will look outstanding, some will have several "dead" spots. Make no mistake: it's a solid flamed maple cap.

  • @getup2nite Thanks Getup.

  • @NU9 umm no this is a cap not a vaneer most do have vaneers but not the tribute its full thickness sir...

  • @ereiwaz Yes it is a solid maple cap but with a fancy flame maple veneer applied on top of the cap just to make it look nice.So everybody's right!

  • @Durberville1 Hi Jeff. This guitar is quite good. So good, in fact, that it feels as if it were custom made for me! It plays great and sounds terrific. It's not a cheap knock-off. It's a quality instrument. I would urge you to try one. Best wishes from this side of "The Pond."

  • Great Video, I have big hands so for me a les paul neck is fine

  • @GreetingEarthlings Hi. Thanks for watching. I have long, slender fingers - piano player's fingers, if you will. However, my preference is for thin necks. I played four of these guitars at the music store, and this cherry sunburst one was the most comfortable. Although they are made on machines, the person who sanded and finished this one apparently made it just right for me!
