Their biggest mistake, they made this online, and the mod community couldn't do anything with the game, so it failed badly, people stopped playing it 3 months after it came out. They've added more guns, single player with bots and in multiplayer, and new maps, and they continue to put out more new free content. This game isn't hard, so all you Call of Noobies, stay away. If you're ready for a game that's a lot more realistic than you might think, in a brand new setting that makes you remember why you're supposed to THINK in FPS games, this game is worth the price three times over. Beautiful, challenging, original.

all the reviews here are best around opinion on MW2, but for me I enjoyed the story to it, but mutiplayer did lack something that COD4 had. MW2 online is not as intense as COD4. Although they did add more kill perks in MW2 and more custimization to online. But if i had to rate MW2 i would give it 4 1/2 stars outta 5
Yes I've heard similar from my favourite critics, they all seem to agree MW2 just fails to live up to COD4 and overall it is more on par with COD: World At War.

The sound is simulated, that's already been explained in-game. Hearing sounds around you gives you better situational awareness, hence why they had the suit create the sounds artificially.

silent running mode means you power down your suit? well...it might be that you wont power it down completely :P
Why would someone power down his personal suit in space when theres no additional power sources around? i doubt space suits have power ON/OFF button because they arent hooked into network of electricity like our computers are....
I bought the game and i think it is great. My problem is that i didnt looked at the System Requirements. I have 8600GTS. Will GeForce GT 220 do better? I'm limited to the power supply on 375w
So when I got tired of no customization of my ps3 and I had enough money i bought a new processor, a new Graphics card, and more RAM, I had pretty much tossed out my ps3 version, and those upgrades to my computer were cheap. My PC version was far better than my ps3, and I'm not even gonna talk about the 360 version.
djrichardgrant speaks the truth, PCs are far superior than a console, I own the orange box on pc and my ps3 and rented it on my 360. I only did so to compare all the similarity's and differences between all of them. When i first bought it it was for my PC, but seeing as at the time, my PC was mediocre at best ,and that's what initially led me to buy it for my ps3. I liked it and saw that yes the graphics were good, but that's because I was comparing them to a raedon X300......

No, I think futuremark doesn't even care about the sales so much. 3dmark vantage has been quite wanted, people has bought that quite a lot, and that doesn't also support winxp or dx9. I thikn they just wanted to include all the eyecandy etc, what they have in their engine, and didn't worry if XP owners or non dx10 card owners wouldn't buy this. Its a low cost game and really good looking technology demo in the same package.
No, it's simply more expensive to produce a game for different kind of directx'ses. They went for 10, if xp could support directx 10 it wouldn't be a problem.
I've been on XP since it launched and I've been on windows7 32/64 bit and the performance difference is negligeble, if you have a pc with 2gb of ram or more a dual core cpu and something using direcx10 code or better ur doing yourself a disservice by not upgrading. It is not like vista was, wish people would get over that
I see no reason to install my old games on a new Windows 7 PC when they run perfectly on my older PC. Also, don't see a reason to emulate DOS on my Windows XP PC when my DOS games run fine on my DOS 6.22/Win3.11 PC.
You know who futuremark are right? If so you know that they make benchmarks, they make em codepath specific to test hardware. When you bought XP you paid for the OS, not to have every game made just for that specific OS. Im guessing it will feature heavy DX10 effects that will likely be integral to the gameplay, you don't have a 'right' that all games should support your format. Sooner or later DX9 support will be dropped, I see no harm in moving past what consoles are holding us back from.
Good point, and yeah I just realised who futuremark is. It is a bit disappointing but I guess it is time to upgrade, I just hope win7 isn't as much as a failure as vista.
What spec do you have dude, because I just upgraded all the systems in my house to windows 7 and even my little sisters pc with its 1gb of ram 2ghz dual core and 8600gts runs everything OS related fine, with you being a pc gamer I would expect something of a newer set up with regards to graphics, anything above the aforementioned set up is gravy and video settings will scale accoringly as with XP. Granted I run a 5850 and heavily OCd quad Im happy as larry with everything on the OS
Actually, by including Windows 7, they've basically cornered the marker for games on new PCs. They're not supporting XP because most PCs that run it aren't up to snuff anyway, unless they were custom built machines, which most people would upgrade to Windows 7 on anyway.

Halo is an arena game that relies on using movement abilities correctly and timing attacks. Unreal tournament is somewhat similar.
Battlefield games rely heavily on balanced teams and teamwork.
This game relies on using physics to your advantage and shooting moving targets along with avoiding getting shot.
They are different, and they are games, if people moan about halo, ignore them.

silent running mode means you power down your suit? well...it might be that you wont power it down completely :P
Why would someone power down his personal suit in space when theres no additional power sources around? i doubt space suits have power ON/OFF button because they arent hooked into network of electricity like our computers are....

So when I got tired of no customization of my ps3 and I had enough money i bought a new processor, a new Graphics card, and more RAM, I had pretty much tossed out my ps3 version, and those upgrades to my computer were cheap. My PC version was far better than my ps3, and I'm not even gonna talk about the 360 version.

djrichardgrant speaks the truth, PCs are far superior than a console, I own the orange box on pc and my ps3 and rented it on my 360. I only did so to compare all the similarity's and differences between all of them. When i first bought it it was for my PC, but seeing as at the time, my PC was mediocre at best ,and that's what initially led me to buy it for my ps3. I liked it and saw that yes the graphics were good, but that's because I was comparing them to a raedon X300......

i personally don't like that idea. I believe most people will side with me for the fact that we all probably have computers that mildly suck balls. I like to use consoles because of the 0 lag and simplicity of controls yet you still get the gaming atmosphere.

completely disagree. I love consoles for sports games like football etc, I enjoy sitting with a big tv with a few mates around having a beer, etc etc, but I prefer to play FPS on my pc anyday. Far superior graphics sound and everything. I cannot express how constantly annoyed I am trying to aim with a controller on the consoles, its so clumsy. continued.... watched as I was kicking some ass in CS and BF2. They soon accepted the better controls. The same arguments come up over and over, it gets boring reading the same comments on every games forum. Once you've tried both, then you're qualified to comment. So happy as I like to have advanced games to showcase my awesome pc, justifies the huge difference in price.

Yeah i guess your right. the console controls are a bit clumsy for FPS games. But i still don't have a great computer for FPS games so that just leaves me to one conclusion.... upgrade my PC! All I rally need to play Shattered horizons is a better graphics card and processor. there goes about 100 bucks

I've tried both and still prefer conoles overall. PC controls are a little more intuitive but for the overall experience I find it all much easier.
I value ease of use since trying to patch BF2 and failing millions of times - worst thing ever.

It doesn't always have sound.You can turn your suits functions off and go into combat stealthy and silent. They also stated about adding a feature where they will make it realistic (sounds wise)I bought this game today, it's REALLY fun. Totally worth 20 bucks. Go buy it!

Infact if the game has DEDIS someone can probable make the DEDI smart and check if your sound is enabled and ask you to switch it or get kicked, i know something like this would be a good idea for people who dont want sound in there gameplay, and want to make it fare.

for there to be sound... there needs to be something that is carrying that sound... a vacuum doesnt have too much to spread that sound... if you're close to something... i guess you can say there will be some sound.. but meh.. id have to be there to know for sure

No, I think futuremark doesn't even care about the sales so much. 3dmark vantage has been quite wanted, people has bought that quite a lot, and that doesn't also support winxp or dx9. I thikn they just wanted to include all the eyecandy etc, what they have in their engine, and didn't worry if XP owners or non dx10 card owners wouldn't buy this. Its a low cost game and really good looking technology demo in the same package.

I've been on XP since it launched and I've been on windows7 32/64 bit and the performance difference is negligeble, if you have a pc with 2gb of ram or more a dual core cpu and something using direcx10 code or better ur doing yourself a disservice by not upgrading. It is not like vista was, wish people would get over that

So when you buy a new computer, get Windows 7 and keep your old XP rig to play XP games. I still have a DOS rig to play DOS games.

I see no reason to install my old games on a new Windows 7 PC when they run perfectly on my older PC. Also, don't see a reason to emulate DOS on my Windows XP PC when my DOS games run fine on my DOS 6.22/Win3.11 PC.

You know who futuremark are right? If so you know that they make benchmarks, they make em codepath specific to test hardware. When you bought XP you paid for the OS, not to have every game made just for that specific OS. Im guessing it will feature heavy DX10 effects that will likely be integral to the gameplay, you don't have a 'right' that all games should support your format. Sooner or later DX9 support will be dropped, I see no harm in moving past what consoles are holding us back from.

What spec do you have dude, because I just upgraded all the systems in my house to windows 7 and even my little sisters pc with its 1gb of ram 2ghz dual core and 8600gts runs everything OS related fine, with you being a pc gamer I would expect something of a newer set up with regards to graphics, anything above the aforementioned set up is gravy and video settings will scale accoringly as with XP. Granted I run a 5850 and heavily OCd quad Im happy as larry with everything on the OS

Actually, by including Windows 7, they've basically cornered the marker for games on new PCs. They're not supporting XP because most PCs that run it aren't up to snuff anyway, unless they were custom built machines, which most people would upgrade to Windows 7 on anyway.
