Current law — known as the Hyde amendment — prohibits federal funding for abortion except in cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother.
I would want abortion to be illegal but the hyde amendment should stay what right does the president have to say that healthcare should be spent on abortion in his election he said he wouldnt tamper with abortion but he changes everything We the people should vote on this healthcare bill (that would be a direct democracy)
@oakdog6079, No it is probably best if you just shut up now.
The statistics show that those who took pledge rings; of the conservative religious persuasion, have the highest rates of STDs, unwanted pregnancy. and divorce.
Those who get sex education and practice safe sex are less likely to have abortion also.
Basically your position is a stupid fail.
seriously,
That is why nobody wants to spend tax dollar on religious cult bigotry in policy any more.
I'm Canadian. Here abortion is 100% covered by our health coverage, and for this I'm glad.
I'd much rather my tax dollars go towards a woman looking to obtain an abortion, then her give birth to that baby (and she already has like 3 other kids) and is living off welfare.
A woman should be able to control all aspects of her physiology, including the all-important bodily function of fetal deadness, at government expense. Ending the lives of unwanted children is a sacred right, not just up to the 3rd trimester of pregnancy, but for years after that.
Children are such a burden and punishnment. The prospect of producing them interferes with sexual enjoyment, they are difficult to instruct in proper Mao-thought, and minorities are having way too many of them. Kill!
We can reasonably assume that the prospect of children, or anything else, interfering with Voltamp's sexual enjoyment is as likely as the prospect of dishwashing interfering with the gustatory pleasure of someone who's died of starvation.
Voltamp, may you continue to have the sex life you deserve.
"abortion is health care" Really? The Hyde amendment only denys TAXPAYER $ for elective abortions, not ones done in the case of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother. If taxpayers have to pay for abortions done on healthy, viable fetuses for no other reason but convenience, then taxpayers should fork over $ for botox and facelifts. Pelosi and Reid will thank you.
And I don't want to spend my money on idiots that haven't figured out that dick + vagina = baby. Especially when the issue isn't important enough to warrant a penny of federal dollars, and has moral issues involved. Abortion can't destroy the united states. Hostile enemies and illegal immigration can. Dumbfucks. If you don't want a baby, don't get knocked up. It's not rocket science. Another question: any other irresponsible behaviors and stupid mistakes you want to make the public pay for?
I don't want my tax dollars to pay for murdering babies through abortion.

I don't want my tax dollars:
1) to pay for killing babies 2) to for people's lung cancer when they knew full well smoking was bad,
3) to pay for fat people's healthcare when they know full well that McDonald's is fattening.
4) to pay for STD treatments when people know full well that sex leads to babies and sometimes diseases.
Shall I go on?
