I went to school once the way you had your hair before u flat ironed, by using flexi rods and when i came to school people were like wtf because they were use to always seeing me with straight hair and wondered why i didn't have no relaxer and was surprised to see natural hair. lololol

It just seems like you are doing too much. Too much stress and heat with all these extra steps. You could have just blow dried your hair straight (properly) and then straightens instead of spending all the time in the world to roll your hair, seat under the dryer and then flat ironing your hair. Pretty girl, nice hair, but way too many steps to get a simple result....

I see where you're coming from but the way you said it is so rude. Maybe she likes it like that you think? Either way, even when girls with relaxers do rollersets and wraps it doesn't tend to look totally straight anyway, the hair will have BODY.

Wow, your hair is beautiful! We have the same texture hair, and this video has given me a new styling option. I do have 1 question though.

I live in texas here where the weather is often hot an humid, how do you keep it from getting kinky again out in the heat?

Make sure you use some kind of serum and wrap it so it stays smooth. :)

. Also I don't suggest to wear your hair like this when its humid cause it will frizz like crazy- at least for me it does. If it really humid I would just keep the curls or flat iron the way I did in the other vid. hth

I use a FHI. I love it & recommend any FHI or CHI or any iron that has full ceramic plates.

I was just wondering something... when you did the how to straightin natural hair you hair came out really straight and had that relax look but in this vid it came out more puffy why is that? Do you think that blow drying your hair makes it more straight instead of roller setting? Or did you use differnt products?

Its the technique that gives the different results. I like the big hair so I rollerset. But when I want it to be really sleek I blow it out really good & then flat iron.

Quick question i havent really seen any naturals blow dry their hair straight after a rollerset. i was wondering if this was because its more damaging than flat ironing after a rollerset.? oh and great video you hair came out great !

For me blowdrying doesn't work after rollersetting. Maybe I just haven't done it right in the past, but if you check my fotki there are a few rollersets that came out crappy looking. Those were blown out.

I just don't like it. For me its better to blowdry wet hair before flatironing.

its just that u have so, so much hair, which is very good,

u should let it grow and then cut it in layers

Blow drying is adding extra direct heat so most of the time I rollerset first. Its ok to blow dry in moderation with a good heat protectant.

okay well i have a blow dryer with a cooling setting as well as my flat iron has a cooling settin...so is dat good referring to the blow dryer..cuz imma try ta flat iron my hair to see how it is but idk lol

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I think it might not be as smooth because there is no heat & it might take longer to dry... Haven't tried it. I just blow dry mine on the lowest setting after it has air dried about 75%.

Your hair is crazy beautiful. Do u think it would come out similar looking if i roller set and only blew out or flatironed the roots. I have 3c mixed with a little 4a type hair if that matters. Im trying to grow out my hair so i can cut off my heat damaged ends, so adding more heats to the ends is kinda stupid.

oh yeah! I only blow out or flat iron the roots when I want to wear it curly. The roots are always wavy after a rollerset, so I do that so it wont tangle and be hard to comb and wrap. If you use bigger rollers it will be straight. :)

I actually like the magnetic rollers better. These were too smooth and I couldn't get my hair to grip it as easily. These are from sallys, Salon care professional snap on magnetic rollers. They say magnetic but they don't have the same texture to them...

They are "magnetic" meaning its easy for the wet hair to stick to it but it wont hold itself up, thats what the clips are for. Velcro rollers dont need clips but I would never use those.
