As a former "Master Gardener" from FL and a Square Foot fan, may I make a suggestion about the buckets.
Keep them as they are, but number them and keep track of what you planted in them each year. That way, you can rotate on a four year schedule. Otherwise, you may find that you get disease going and can't get rid of it very easily. I REALLY wouldn't suggest just mixing it all together! Especially if your watermelon buckets absorbed some of the Roundup. hth
you can get a dehydrator for your tomatoes and I have an antique claw foot bathtub for my compost with Red Wrigglers and they make wonderful compost..I also use shredded newspaper for my chicken coop bedding and that also goes into the compost tub and then goes back into my garden..:)
Great Vids Jason. I just came across your vids and I'm going to be starting my own veg garden. I like the idea of space saving. I also agree with one of the previous comments, grow herbs in the tops of the hangers (2fer). NICE JOB!
What you can do with the dirt is, if you have a big wheely bin, or an area where you can mix your dirt, You can put all your dirt in the bin, and addcompost and manure, mix and add some worms, if you can and let sit for a month or so before you want to use it again.
Ya they make life a little easier for those who don't want to go hard core with smoking. It automatically manages the temperate so all you have to do is add chips occasionally and drink beer.
gardening is very addicting isnt it. happy thanks giving to you. I'm surprised your dog didnt eat your vegies. I have to keep my dogs away from mine but I have a border collie and she eats anything.
If you don't make your own compost, get yourself composted chicken manure or composted cow manure, the chicken is better. That is what I have done in the past, but next spring I will be using my own compost. I am still pulling peppers and eggplant. I also have some great cabbage coming in and I pulled carrots up yesterday for Thanksgiving dinner! Great job! Thanks, noreen
Thanks for the tips. I probably won't start making my own compost just yet so getting chicken or cow manure would be the way to go. Glad to hear you are still getting veggies. Thanks for watching.
Ya the raised beds work really good. The upside down containers work decent as well. Though I think the raised beds offer a little more bang for your buck if you want a larger garden. Hope things are gardening well for you. Catch you soon!
hey man ya i strongly recommend using rock dust it makes ur produce stronger and better tasting and compost

raise rabbits, they make good manure. You can put it directly on your plants.

why would you have pepper plants in your strawberries? ,......They can get the hottness from the peppers....

Ha, ya the dog actually doesn't have much interest in the veggies. So luckily none got eaten by her. Thanks for watching as always!

HAHAHA! I knew there were going to be raised beds in your future - it's a very addictive activity!
Use the spent compost and patio soil (if it's OK) to build up your raised beds and add a general fertiliser a few weeks before planting.
Now is the time to plan for next year, check local gardening forums to see what other people have good results with and send for seed catalogues.
It was good to get a view of your garden, lovely place you got there.
Best Wishes & Happy Thanksgiving,
Brendan

This has been an interesting series. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the smoker.
Find a friend with a horse! Or, better yet get bunny droppings.

Thanks for watching. I should hopefully have some smoker videos up late this weekend.
