I'm quite sure Rick Wright was exiled a long time before this was recorded. "Bike" would have been a nice touch.

bike is an excellent song, but i think Pink Floyd is a wide rainbow full of excellents songs of all kind of magic moments.

aniway,i put this song because there's a lot of tributes on you tube with "summer of 68" so i dont want do the same thing.

and the idea behind this track and this tribute was: "Roger Waters is making a homage to Rick Wright"

and that's all the meaning

I would've used a track like summer 69 to tribute him though, I'm not trying to be mean but Rick was fired from Pink Floyd before The Final Cut was made so I just think it would be more fitting.....still this was a nice tribute

but though When the Tigers Broke Free was in the film of The Wall it was not actually on the album of The Wall, The Final Cut was made right after The Wall and shares alot of the same themes so was also incorporated into the film, I promise I'm not making this up :)

i love this tribute to rick, some great shots of him and the band, and one of the most hauntingly beautiful floyd tracks ever put on vinal to accompany it.surely,tragically, ricks passing signals the end of any kind of future pink floyd action (you get the feeling dave wasn't keen 'before' rick died)so it was great to see them all together at live 8...and say what you like about roger,but he's one of the best music lyricists in rock history,this track alone is testament to that.
