Yes, some asian parents hit. But it is actually not allowed anymore (but still some does it). I am asian. They want me be good at things. But they never forced or hit me. I love my parents :)Even they didn't force me, I was interested in all kinds of things. Especially piano and animation. I got good at both things. Me and my little brother was better than normally talented people in piano after a exam. (Actually we didn't even have to play, the judges already saw us at a concert.)

Asian people have great music, you just have to look for piano players on youtube, or any other instrument really and most of the really impresive ones are Asian. And you have no basis to say they have no feelings so STFU.

unfortunately, armenians haven't really contributed to anything. we can do pretty much anything without armenians. we know tons of asian pianists, violinists etc while we don't know whether armenians play instruments or whether they stand for some ethnic group or some kind of insect.

If you know anything about music, you'd know who Yanni is. The pride of his music group was Samvel Yervinyan. There were other armenians in this group as well.
Charles Aznavour, CNN found him to be the entertainer of the century. In Europe, you know, higher class people, he is well known, unlike in your slums and the zoo that you call Asia.

unfortunately, more than 80 % of pianists in major piano competitions are asians. majority of european simply don't have the minimum skill to compete in major competitions.

Being in a piano competition doesn't mean you have feelings, just because you are high in numbers does not mean anything related to talent.
And might I add, when you DO have that 20 per cent of europeans, they are 1000 fold better than the asians.

I'm sorry, but your opinion is pretty much unsupported when you think about the fact that professional juries who understand music far better than you choose the winner. Majority of europeans are simply kicked out of competition in the prelims, let alone armenian. That's based on facts. That's the only reality you get. think you are more sensitive than juries? You are using competitions to talk about feeling of music, whereas competitions take into consideration many aspects of performance, not just feeling. But you can play that game if you choose to.
The reality is that Europeans are much more talented in the musical arts than asians ever will be, unless of course we are talking about asian 'instruments' - then you can take all the credit

competitions do take into consideration many aspects of performance and all of them are relevant to the evaluation of performer's talent and her future potential. Not just feeling. Feeling, if anything, is the least significant variable in the equation of performer's talent. Horwitz as well as Heifetz has often been said to lack feelings while he was alive, yet nobody doubted his talent. So again, your equation is quite armeniac; a countryman's non-sensical muttering.

Do you play the piano? I'm guessing not because of your lack of vision on the instrument. Every instrument makes music wich is ART. In case you forghet, art is the expresion of the feelings of an author. Granted, the girl might be playing mechanically without feeling, but when she reaches the age she can chose what to play she will play it with feeling and then she will be a good player.
And no, japanese music is very awsome, especially orchestal. You just need to look for it.

actually I have played for more than 10 years.
Instruments don't make music, they make sounds. It's how the player makes those sounds through his/her emotions and use of the instrument that determines whether it is music.
I am not talking about the girl, the girl could turn out to be the next Valentina Lisitsa, however I am saying that almost all asians that are in the field of music have amazing technical skills, yet lack true feeling with which Europeans can play with.

in this case ... the talent is in the hands and most of the talented kids do not play with feelings .. they play it to show the gift of the fast hand and good memory and/or reading notes ... the secret of good musicians is " feelings " good job and my wishes to her is to play something far away from notes but with feelings .
