  • It depends on the size of the holes, number of holes and the type of soil. Clay takes in water slower than sand or soil with lots of organic matter. At the end it slows down also since the water pressure is less. My containers usually are mostly empty in an hour or so. Try it with a few small holes and if you want it to empty faster you can add more. Slower is probably better.
