I just listened to a 256kb cd transfer of this track and there is very weak cymbal sound and th overall sound is muddy...this vinyl transfer however sounds excellent very spacious still has that easier on the ear vinyl sound to a degree even though digitally reproduced.
I really think bands should consider releasing their cd versions of their albums from direct vinyl transfers.
Hey man. Is the the original ...And Justice For All Vinyl? I would be willing to bet is it because I have the 2008 reissue and OMG is sucks really badly. I have to turn my stereo to max to even hear it.
There is absolutely NOTHING like the old vinyl sound. CD and digital mastering are OK but all the technological additions end up highlighting some "elements" that are not actually there. Great vinyl version btw, thanks for posting Bodomtempest!
i think digital does the opposite; it cuts out all the very fine details that u hear with such analogue technologies as this, and it takes the purity away from the music. digital only highlights the elements which are most obvious, which does not necessarily make for a comfortable listen.
Thats funny, because vinyl adds noise and distortions to music. CDs and records are both flawd formats and both have their strong points. New formats are far superior to both.
good bass

If it sounds good here I can't imagine how it would sound from your end! The bass drum is so in your face!

It's all down to the mastering, whether on vinyl or on cd, it doesn't matter. So long as it sounds good.
