I agree sillyguy 1 of my favorite records.. it was nominated for grammy and should have easily won.. this record should be in the rolling stones top 25 records of all time.. most of you will laugh at this statement.. thats because you only hear it.. you're not listening
How this was not the biggest record of 2003 i dont get one of the grestest songwriter and singer of last 30 years! his lyrics are the shit so moving and beautiful not many on his level and its a shame people today and record industry dont recognize true talent! all this crappy rappers and pop musician of today could learn alot from tonic!
I will be very pleased but mildly shocked if Tonic gets a shot at a 4th album since the music biz rarely grows with a band anymore. They prefer to make money on "new kids in town" usually barely 15 and malleable. Tonic proves what a shame this is as they have a lot more to say and just get better even after the killer 1st one. "Mountain" still knocks me out.
Personally, I know I couldn't claim to be Tonic's biggest fan, but I'm a huge fan of them for sure.
I love "Count On Me (Somebody)," "Head On Straight" ""Future Says Run," "Let Me Go," "Love A Diamond," "On Your Feet Again," "Ring Around Her Finger" (<awesome falsetto in that song!), "Future Says Run," "Sugar," "You Wanted More," "Do You Know" Waiting For The Light To Change," among others!
What songs by them do you guys like? If you like melodic music check out mine at jakeniemi dotcom
Cool. *Makes mental note to check those songs out*. I like, "If you could only see," open up your eyes, "Soldier's Daughter," "You Wanted More," "Sugar", Mean to me," and "Head on Straight"
This is one of my favorite songs of all time! That opening melody is so inspiring to me, as a songwriter/recording artist. Thanks for posting this!!! If you like this you might like my music too by the way at jakeniemi dotcom.
Bigger fan, maybe not, but Head on Straight is one of my all time favorite Rock albums. And I'm someone who mostly listens to metal. Emerson Hart is an amazing artist, the dude really puts his heart and soul into the stuff he writes.
This is fucking great!

I agree with enorbet2 about his/her assessment of the music business and Tonic's chances of getting a record deal.
Even though Tonic was as good as ever when I saw them live a few weeks ago; their chances of scoring a record deal are almost non existent.
Sorry to burst some bubbles but sometimes is better to confront reality as it is.
However, I still love Tonic and I see them and listen to them often.
