  • Awesome cook setup! What song is that in the background?

  • please please will you just take him away, iv'e never been so desperate for someone to take somebody away lol you are out of your mind. lol

  • Jesus Christ! What the EFFFF is that noise in the background! How the hell can we understand you with that gong on!! Eff this!

  • @isntlovegrand seriously could you be anymore annoying by having soundtrack play in the background like this... Lasted about 1min and had to mute it and what the guy was saying due to this... Next time why dont you try Barney the Dinosaur on acid that might be more soothing..

  • great video, I wish I would have ran across your video's when I was playing around with making a disaster preparedness stove... Great advice on usage of a freezer bag, I have never seen that type of bag before!

  • That's a great idea for a small, compact kit. What brand of side can opener did you use? I have one that simply cuts the top off...doesn't leave the lip like yours does. Thanks.

  • I used a simple safety can opener from Walmart....Good Chefs brand, if memory serves. I hope that helps, and thank you for the kind compliment! Peace.

  • Very cool!

What did you you make the pot stand out of?

Can the freezer bag really handle boiling water ?

    5/5! awesome!

  • The pot stand/stove is made from a tea light tin, some aluminum foil, and hardware cloth, 1/2".

Yes, the freezer bag can handle boiling water no problem. I always carry 1 or 2 spares. Thanks for the comment and compliment! Peace.

  • Will the windscreen fit inside the can. Also do you seal both bags.

  • Yes, the windscreen/potstand fits inside the pot. I seal the freezer bag, but I didn't add velcro or anything like that to the cozy, I just fold it over. The other white bag in the cozy is just a CrunchWrap Supreme wrapper from Taco Bell, which is not needed, I just thought it might keep the reflectix from sticking to the freezerbag. Reflectix tends to get somewhat sticky when hot. Thanks for the comment! Peace.

  • very nice ultralight setup you got there.

  • Thank you. I tried to get it as light as possible. Besides the wick and the paint on the can, I think it would be a serious challenge to lighten it more. Peace.

  • Thanks for sharing, very nice set up! I was actually waiting for the guys in the white coats to show up and take you away.

Have a Happy New Year, and thanks for all your cool videos in 2008.

  • Thank you for the comment! This cooking system works well, but is only for certain hiking camping situations. I don't think I would go this light for a 1-2 week or longer excursion, but it is great for a few days. Happy New Year! Let's make it a better one than '08! Peace.

  • Great little set up Josh! I have something like it but I use a Arizona Tea can for my cook pot. I may have to change that out to a smaller soda can. Another good video.

  • A client of mine brought me an 8-pack of the 8 oz. Coke Zero. I was looking for something that wasn't a cut-down can, something solid. They just made sense for the size. Thanks for the comment, Drak. Peace.

  • very efficient I would say; great demo, thanks

  • Thank you, sir. The goal was functionality along with lightest weight I could engineer. Peace.
