this whole series was brilliant! my 7 yr old got me into it, and now i love it. but killing AAng off and bringing in a new Avatar is to much I have to sdmit AAng and uncle Iro are the main reason i watch the show. many lessons in life can b learned by watching this series. please dont get rid of him. I dont think I would even watxh a new avatar series without him and Katara and toph. brilliant writting thought guys this is the best cartoon ever made!!!!

I like hearing stuff like that- people like and look up to characters from the Avatar series. But it kinda saddens me that you (and others) aren't as excited about it as they were with the old series. I guess that when a lot of time has passed, the spark is gone, but still... it's sad to hear that.

I hope the first few episodes will change your mind about it.

I fell in love with all of them. This was the only series where I adored all of the characters.

I wish that the series would have continued from the original, with the original characters.

We didn't get to see them grow up or anything. it's very dissapointing.

One thing I loved so much about about this series is that it was very traditional, not more modern like Leggend of Korra.

And if so, she is probably the main boss in the new series, since I'm sure *spoiler alert* Police officers trained to metalbend by Toph's daughter (who was trained by Toph) and Anti-Benders (who are just Chi-Blockers, similar to Ty Lee) are going to be the least of Torra's worries.

Well, I know that it's sure as hell not coming out in November...Im think'in more like feburary or march..(wahh!!) And I know Dante Basco(voice of zuko) is coming back on, at least for a little bit. Azula is most definatly dead. They have recoreded around half the first season..Scheduled two seasons total. A comic book is coming out, dating after aang defeated the firelord, and heavily rumored to explain the 'zuko's mother' cliffhanger. And all the cool things on Korra you can see on wikipedia!!

If Boomy (Name?) was still alive in the original series, and boy was he ancient, I don't see why it isn't possible for Toph to still be around in the new series. I personally think that would be a much better solution mainly because even though we all know it's a sequal to the series, it would give the fans a better visual & emotional "link" between them than just having the kids of our favorite characters. Azul being alive is kinda that...just bittersweet.

well is it that big of a surprise? think for a second the avatar has to be dead for the new avatar to be born then. he he did of average human old age that's like what 85-90 tops? avatar battles the tyran in his teens so that's mean around 13yrs after the original characyers are in the 83-90 range. so yeah they should have been dead atleast a few years by then. wait 70 years plus they were how old in the original series... yep the math works. not shocked at all.
